If you've not read Jorge Luis Borges' "The Circular Ruins" or "The Library of Babel" (both in Ficciones if recollection is correct), I think you'll see a lot in either and will enjoy both.

I have not read ANY Borges. I will find some for my summer reading now,, stat! This was absolutely an Akashic Records type dream....
