With spring break being next week, I wish I had some concrete plans going on.

The main problem is me wanting to go visit my grandparents on the other coast of Florida. I figured I'd just drive there because its only a 4 hour drive anyway. Well my grandma said this idea makes her too "nervous" and that she wants me to fly. I really hate flying. I

i hate all those areas [and live there] so i can't be of much help =)
we're moving out of our place soon, and it's nice on the inside and
all, but the neighborhood is awful. so i wouldn't wish it upon you
at all.
have you considered the downtown st pete area? they've got all those
lovely old apartments down there. hardwood floors, clawfoot tubs, and
all those other things that make me drool. and some are still priced
rather reasonable, even after baywalk and everything. plus there are
all those 'interesting' artsy people down there.
[but in this area, i'd stay away from the actual apartment complexes.
they are stupid expensive and not worth it, or cheap and cheap because
they suck even more.]
good luck! this really seems like a horrible area to try to rent in.

my roomate doesnt really want to move further than the areas i stated up there... but i agree on apartments being more of a hassle down here...they suck heh
