I've got all my bases covered--plenty of food for all meals for which we will be home for the next several days, clean pig cage, plants watered, remembered stocking stuffers before Christmas Eve eve. The only thing that is questionable is Gryphon is almost out of dog food. Other than that, I have cleared my plate of responsibilities.
Having a glass of red wine as I type!
I hope you are also able to put your feet up and chill with a glass of whatever floats your boat :D
You are insanely determined. At some point during this, I think that I'd curl up and bury my face in the pillow, take a "five minute" nap from which I wake three hours later, than be like oh well, not enough time to do everything. Better off doing none of it.
It's a great show! It has Robert Irvine saving failing restaurants in 2 days on $10,000. Makeovers and new menus and generally bitching at the people in charge for being idiots, too.
So when I think about your friends, I wish them far better luck/skill than these people have xD
My friend has been in the restaurant industry for fifteen or twenty years. He has a lot of things going really well right now (apart from the ridiculous wait to get into the space) so I hope nothing happens to change that!
Geez. I just got my tree decorated *today* (and managed to smash my favorite ornament while doing it - still very upset about that, several hours later). And presents are wrapped. But that was about all I had to do anyway, lol. I'm so impressed with you!
I hope the restaurant gig goes well. I seem to recall that they really wanted to open before Christmas, so that sucks. Still, good food is never something to be turned down! :)
I'm sorry that your favorite ornament broke! There are a few that would make me cry if they couldn't be fixed.
Considering that they just got in there on the first of December, I'm amazed at the amount they've gotten done. Tile goes down on Monday and that will make it look even more different.
I totally feel you on underestimation of time - I mucked up my 'home' schedule something fierce, and now I'm sweating bullets that I won't get this last giftfic done on time. ARGH. Who knew that going home would mean people would actually want to spend time with you? :P
Congrats on getting it all done, though - this time of year is absolutely ridiculous.

My days are similar, but I don't think I packed nearly as much in. YOU ARE A MACHINE!
