Also, have been pondering joining an online dating service or the like. Something to meet the ladies at, as my hobbies don't do that.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you take ballroom dancing in college? Was it something you enjoyed?
I know in Kalamazoo, the Art Institute had regular ballroom dancing sessions for a small fee, and they were fun, with a lesson and then refreshments and open dance, and there were always far more women than men there.

Be careful if you decide to do the online thing, ok?

Eh, the ballroom dancing at college was fun, but I never heard or saw any of those ladies again. I am and probably will always be foul at the physical arts such as dance.

We enjoy dancing here, but it's more free-form silly dancing with the toddler. (Look up "Robot Little" on Youtube. It's the current toddler-favorite dancing music

I'd recommend online dating. Depending on the site (which cost anywhere from free to about 60$ a month) you have a good chance of at least going on a date. I'd recommend OKCupid myself since the site feels like you get something for the time you put in whereas others feel like they reach a plateau after about 3 months and then there is nothing else.

Thanks for the advice. I have bookmarked the site and will get to it when I feel like I can actually stay motivated enough to do a reasonable job of it in one go.

I am happy the vast majority of the time. I feel healthy almost all of the time. I am still gainfully employed. Things are pretty good.
