House up for sale

Some of you that are reading this probably know this already, but I figured I'd throw it out there for those that don't, but I put my house on the market for a short sale a few weeks ago. I'm glad you are happy! I hope you get an offer and that the bank agrees to it. :) The only hard thing is not knowing when and if the bank will accept it... I hope that it all works out for the best!

how long does it take Art to get to work, and how does he get there? Part of the reason I like the area is because of all of the different options.

If you're in an ARM then there are federal programs to push banks to work with you for a modification; but if you're looking to get them to just lower the principal or the interest rate, good luck. I'd caution against foreclosure, you don't need that albatross around your neck forever.

No-one's place is worth what it once was, but a lot of folks with reasonable incomes are looking at selling break-even or at a loss, then trading into something bigger (but cheaper than the 2007/2008 price).

As for edgewater, just be careful when looking over there. Transit into the city is limited to bus/ferry/car (no train/path), and the people Y and I know who've lived there felt very isolated as the community is insular.
