depends on what sort of stuff you do. i was thinking about getting a mac, but only so I can run protools and logic and other audio stuff. otherwise, PC is just as good i think. and cheaper.

and i also say laptop unless you are good at tooling around inside your computer and plan on adding things / changing things inside.

thanks, i appreciate and value your input. i know what die-hard mac fans such as amedsped and my brother and sister-in-law would say anyway.

i'm just sick of microsoft and i'm sick of having to restart my computer every two-three days. i guess that wouldn't be much of a problem with a laptop (the restaring portion).

well. my work computer is a pc and i restart it very rarely. plus, im not even allowed to turn it off when i go home at night, therefore it just always stays on. so it might just be something with your system that you have to restart all the time.

the same with my work pc. one is supposed to restart it at the end of the day, not shut it down. that is so the lan guys who get paid the big bucks can update the network while everyone is at home sleeping.

perhaps it's a misconception on my part, it just seems like the mac os is a much more stable environment.
