Lost theory
Ok, now that I've finished watching Lost... I can have a theory
Massive spoilers oncoming (probably)
Ok, so this is just in reference to Season 5... the monster, Jacob, Locke and the man in the black shirt.
Season 5 Post-Ajira crash Locke is not Locke (as we figure because of his body at the end of the season)
The man in the black shirt is a man in a black shirt... (the guy on the beach looking for a loophole with Jacob)
So, the man in the black shirt is Not-Locke
Now the monster. My theory is the man in the black shirt is the monster.
Here's how it plays out:
Not-Locke arrives on the beach after the Ajira crash.
Ben and Not-Locke go to the Temple
We see this:
The monster (man in black) battling Anubis (which I figure is Jacob)
So, Ben drops into the vault with the monster and John casually disappears for a bit
The Monster 'judges' Ben and keeps him alive. Then the Monster turns into Alex and uses his guilt for her death to force him to 'do whatever John says'
Ben now follows whatever Not-Locke says, knowing the results of the judging and his sight of Alex (because he is the monster and Alex.)
So, he tells Ben to kill Jacob, because for some reason he can't. (I don't know why, I figure there's a good v evil thing where neither can triumph directly... and god plays skeeball at Asbury Park... and whatnot)
The Monster = the man in the black shirt = not-Locke
So, what are the monster's motives? I figure the Monster wants to protect the island by getting rid of EVERYONE.
Now, I'll go read other websites to see if anyone agrees
