*wild applause*

I can't speak about Fringe because I haven't seen it yet, but a HUGE 'Hell YES!' to the inexplicable omission of Katie Sagal in the Lead Actress in a Drama category. I was all 'WTF???' when I saw the noms that were selected this year. Tbh, I thought SoA should have scored THAT nomination at the very least, if not more.

I know!! Not that I care THAT much about the Emmys and such, but it seemed like Katey had all the buzz and acclaim, WTF? This should have been a no-brainer. *shakes head*

We are making our way slowly through Season 2...we are both working a lot of extra hours so finding time together is like, impossible. BUT Titus Welliver has just shown up...he is my favorite actor in the world, and Jimmy O is SOOOO evil, and he's doing that Irish accent and has crazy hair...I LOVE it!

I agree so much about Anna Torv, but I wasn't surprised that she was overlooked, because anything Sci-Fi just is not going to be taken seriously by the Emmy people. I really liked Mireille Enos in The Killing, but I thought Anna had a much, much more challenging job and she did an amazing job!

Agreed! Though Connie Britton deserves this emmy and more; she's just fantastic in FNL. Isn't Mariska Hargitay nom'ed every single year? Is she really that good? (I don't watch.)

I agree with the Good Wife noms, but yes, we're missing Sagal who, in my opinion, makes Sons of Anarchy.

Mariska Hargitay has been nominated/won something like eleventy billion times, and I just can't figure it out. And this is coming from a huge Law & Order nerd! It seems like a few years ago the conventional wisdom was that there just weren't very many strong female characters, and Mariska won by default, but you certainly can't say that now.

I especially dislike the automatic nominations of someone like Kathy Bates. She is great, for sure, but this role is nothing special, especially for an actress of her caliber. I call foul! LOL.

Ok good. I thought it was just me who felt this way, and to be fair, I'm not a Hargitay fan at all. I just didn't GET it. Kathy Bates...always good, but that doesn't mean she gets to ruin the curve for everyone else. She's got to earn it!
