[Stephen is currently making skewers for the barbeque. He's in a pair of slightly ratty-looking swim suit trunks and a t-shirt, and abandoned shoes long ago.]

It's okay. Slow to get started but it's interesting. [Not...really interesting enough if she's putting it down on the table, standing to head over to Stephen.] Need help?

[Toph was enjoying this sudden burst of non-winter weather, and eventually wandered down to the beach. It's difficult to "see" very well on sand, for her, although she's been working on it, but she recognizes Charlie anyway. She waves and works her way through the sand toward her.]

[Charlie grins. Not that Toph would see it, so she made sure to let it carry into her voice.] I love it. It's beautiful.

[She recognizes that voice and smiles slightly, looking up as she closes the book.] I don't like being in the water.

[It probably had either everything or nothing to do with her pyrokinesis. She didn't know of a way to test the theory, though. Tilting her head slightly towards the cooking burgers, she raises an eyebrow slightly..] You hungry?

[Most definitely anti-ocean bonding.] Awesome. How do you like your burger? And how are you? I haven't seen you in a couple weeks.

[Buffy loves the beach so when the weather is nice enough to go walking on it, she's there in a pair of cut off shorts and a bikini top. She doesn't really swim either but she sun bathes. She's got a beach bag on her shoulder with a towel, a trashy romance that she'll probably get mad at half way through and toss into the ocean, and some sun tan lotion. She catches sight of Charlie sitting on the beach and waves before wandering over.]

Taking advantage of the sunshine?

Oh, absolutely. It'd be a sin not to. [Charlie says with a half smile. Her book gets set down, eyes drifting towards the coals in the pit. They weren't heating fast enough for her so, one faint push later, and they're glowing a bit more.] I have zero patience when it comes to using a grill. How's it going?

[Buffy grins at the way Charlie gets the coals going. It reminds her a little of Willow.] So not blaming you. If I could do that...well I'd probably burn things down accidentally but also wouldn't wait on the grill. [Buffy sinks down into the sand and leans back on her elbows.] It's...good--ish I guess.

[ Amy'll be there, having dragged Rory to the beach. She's wearing a green swimsuit and not much else, actually, and just wandering about the beach. ]

[Amy gets a wink. This has just become Charlie's response when seeing her.] Hey, yourself. Fantastic weather. I'm a little cautious but I plan on enjoying what I can.
