[Pepper throws a very flour-ridden rag into the sink for later cleaning and turns to smirk at Tony, smoothly sidling up to Bruce and slipping an arm around the scientist's waist with a smile.]

I told you he'd wake up.

[Bringing his own up and over Pepper's hand, he can't help his own wry look. A free hand up with a shrug, he sighs with a fond exasperation.]

Should have known you'd be right, Ms. Potts.

[Tony surveys the scene before him through tired eyes, uncertain what exactly he's just stumbled into.]

Did you guys make a pizza? Without me?

We did, and we planned to eat it without you if you didn't come down soon.

[That's a lie, she wants to see how he'll react.]

[A small shrug as he turns sheepish, hides a laugh under a breath.]

Honestly? She has a point. [When doesn't she, though.] We do it because we care, everything before and after pizza.

Yeah, well. [He makes them wait while he chews more of the pizza.] Got any other plans to show me how much you care?
