buelito you left us,
my mama is sad
and really she has reason this time
because she thinks she lost her dad.
seventy nine
was that how old you were?
when just this past summer,
i saw you taming the herd
of sixty-plus cattle
nintety or more sheep
and not to mention
the 10 kids you fathered
with your broken knees.
i remember when youd be sleeping
or being given a bath
all of us cousins
would race in your wheelchairs
seeing how fast we would go
wonder how you got it over the mountains
or down those dirty/sandy slopes.
it was also nice
seeing everybody bow down
to the one and only JOB DAVILA!
king of the town
i liked how you looked into my eyes
to tell me i was pretty
i liked the time you took
and the concentration you took
to remember my name
you had fifty grandchildren!
and no one really looked the same
oh and by the way
those nights when i'd walk home?
you'd be sitting in your wheelchair
outside of your home
dark and alone
but of course, you would wait!
for your children and theirs
no matter how late;
sacrificing a lot more then you thought
omg you were brave
well what can i say grandpa?
you were more then just that
and even though this may seem like forever
it's not anything close to a goodbye
but a "see u later'
LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU GRANDPA - REST IN PEACE 04.16.06
My grandpa was strong. His legs just collapsed beneath him one day a couple of years ago. His health was always bad no matter how hard he tried to hide it and everyone flew internationally just to see him no matter what. But I guess this time he didn't want to cause any trouble and left us peacefully. Till yesterday, he govenerned a small town in a foriegn country, ran a ranch, took care of his family and loved his grandchildren. AND HE REALLY LOVED RIDING HIS HORSE.
