a while back i purchased a book on cleft palates (it was only a dollar) and it smells like death--the book. maybe that's why it was only a dollar.

Which brings this to mind (since it was already on my mind):
My mom got me this gold jacket from Burlington Coat Factory. It's the most God-awful thing I've ever seen. EVER. But she thought of me because of my gold shoes and gold steering wheel cover and thought that I could use a hideous gold bomber jacket.

I'm going to return it.

it's a good thing we're friends, nydia, because i have the solution to your smelly book disaster.

the solution requires you to buy some clay kitty litter.
put the book in the kitty litter and the smell will be absorbed and your book will no longer smell like death.
it'll smell like cat shit.

or use fresh litter.

Before Mariam left for China, she was informed that she could get a sizeable employee discount at the Venetian Macau. $89 a night per room. per suite, rather.

My friend Christina and I are going to try to take advantage of that deal, but if that fails, we'll be staying in hostels. Have you thought of couch surfing(?):
