Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?

Not thin enough to see bones or anything so dramatic, but he has a tall, slender build that has wiry muscles instead of bulk.

2. How old is he?

24.

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?

He eternally looks slouched, loose and relaxed. He leans back in chairs, slouches across tables and generally looks at ease, whether or not he feels it.

4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?

He's been injured on job, but he is otherwise in good shape. He's in very good shape, although he has to work at it.

5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?

Laid back, slinking, smooth, unfettered, he whole demeanor changes when he's at work. There he moves with literally inhuman speed and a smoothness of motion that is striking.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?

If you're into blondes, Chard probably does it for you. He's got a boyish face and he dislikes being mistaken for younger than he is. But he doesn't think of himself as unattractive.

7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?

Light. There are some pale scars on his stomach and thighs from assignments he's been on, which are pinkish in color. They are almost always hidden by clothing.

8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.

Platinum/white blonde, somewhat shaggy, and thick. He has hair like his father did as a boy, only he didn't grow out of it.

9. What color are his eyes?

Bright blue. Very, very blue and in his opinion girly.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?

Does being a demigod count? He also has long fingers. /useless fact

11. What are his chief tension centers?

His shoulder, back and neck.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?

Black. Lots of black, blue, gray, silver, and white. He also has a terribly tacky orange denim jacket his mother gave him, which he guards with his life. He owns some very nice things for formal SCP events, but a lot more normal clothes for work.

13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?

He's very comfortable in work clothes. Less so in fancy things; he feels like a pretentious douchebag if he's dressed up.

14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?

In his free time, what little there is, he has been known to sleep in his jeans and wear a jean + T-shirt combination at all times. At work he usually wears layers, or gloves, or depending on the SCP, Kevlar.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?

Briefs.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?

Low and snarky. Dripping in sarcasm or superiority a lot of time, except when he's in concerned white knight mode.

2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?

Under his breath murmurs and side whispers are common. But he's loud and assertive when he's on the job. Somewhat monotone at work, except when shit gets weird - which is pretty often.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?

The generic American bland accent. He has a tendency to say also, and, or, and uh-huh frequently.

4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?

English and Russian. Fluent and crappy but trying respectively.

5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?

He'll occassionally mock his Russian friend with a poorly accented word or two, but when they're not joking around he's just an English speaker.

6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?

He can get a good comeback in that'll screw him over in the end pretty quickly. It's being sincere or comforting that he sucks at. That takes him a while. Barking out orders is getting easier as he works.

7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?

Is by eloquent you mean a user of big words, only when he's technobabbling, trying to explain the unexplainable or talking about the weirder aspects of work.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?

Both. He's very intelligent, but he had to go through a real baptism of fire working at the SCP to become good at thinking on his feet and improvising. He is still better at writing or reading about a subject than working at it.

2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?

He learned to think fast, after a certain number of near death experiences. He won't order anyone into the line of fire, but he's got a reckless streak in him and will jump in himself.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?

He acts on logic as much as possible. He has a literal sixth sense as a demigod, but he has ignored it in the past with varying results. He will do the right thing when push comes to shove. He cannot, however, be called idealistic in any sense of the word.

4. What kind of education has the character had?

High school, followed by the SCP's college program. That hellish scam led him to his career path.

5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?

Paranormal investigation, paranormal psychology, mythology and the occult. And he'd love to expand his magical knowledge if he didn't suck so bad at it.

6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?

Introvert.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?

Melancholic. (See TV Tropes on Four Temperment Ensembles for more.) Calm, able to function under pressure, but often detached, lonely, takes things too seriously and masks it all with snark. He acts like he doesn't care, but he's very driven. He chose to stay in the SCP after surviving an attack by SCP 96. That's not the action of a man who's laid back and doesn't give a shit.

8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?

He'll act calm and collected, but internally is stressed and untrusting.

9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?

React.

10. Which is his default: fight or flight?

Fight. But everybody else should pick flight, in his mind.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?

Snarky, sarcastic, self-deprecating, mocking, brutal humor. Not a fan of dirty humor but has a secret love of puns. Has been known to prank a few people from time to time, but not on the scale or with the skill of his Uncle Loki.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?

Depersonalization Disorder. Diagnosed by the SCP Foundation's routine psychological testing but deemed not to be a risk to him or the people around him, it is something he works at not addressing because there simply is no treatment.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?

Joining the SCP, not being worthy of his father's hammer, and his girlfriend Jessalyn dying.

14. What does he fear?

Being alone, not being good enough, letting people down, imperfection, the end of the world.

15. What are his hopes or aspirations?

Finding a treatment for his DPD, becoming worthy of the hammer, saving the world with the SCP. (And maybe having a family, but he wouldn't admit it.)

16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?

His DPD is a well guarded secret. One his parents, girlfriend and psychological evaluator know and no one else. It's one of the many reasons he fails at life in his own eyes.

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.

He is a momma's boy. He loves his mother and she understands him, his frustrations and episodes of detachment, and she supports him wanting to do research with SCP. She's less fond of him wanting to be a field agent and worries about him. But when shit goes wrong, he knows he can call her, talk to her and get some comfort. He's very protective of her because she's a mortal and, having lost his girlfriend, he is painfully aware of how vulnerable that makes her. She's not thrilled with his 'women need protection' complex, but she understands the cause is a very deep loss.

His father and he have a strange relationship. Chard wants his father's approval. He also wants to save the world. No one's sure on whether or Chard is immortal and Thor worries, as all parents do. He's torn between cultural pride that his son rushes in to fight the good fight and fear his son is seeking death. He does not fully understand his son's Depersonalization Disorder, which causes a lot of of their problems. Chard took it very poorly when he failed to lift his father's hammer trying to protect his family from an attack by SCP 280. After that incident, he quit coming home so as to keep SCPs from taking an interest in his family. His father had a moment of anger where he told Chard 'this is all your fault'. It stuck.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?

He's an only child.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?

He is one of few people in his family to tolerate his uncle, Loki. Although not really loving or friends with each other, Loki was at least decent enough to help contain SCP 280 in the aforementioned incident, and has never held Chard's parentage against him. Though still on bad terms with his brother, Loki does care for his nephew a little. Perhaps more than he'd admit.

He loves his grandparents, but doesn't get to see them much. His grandmother is, in his words, 'everything good about women', and his grandfather has always favored him.

He loves his cousin Hel, who has always been quite cordial and sweet to him. She is the most sympathetic about his DPD. Though he can't visit often, he holds her in high regard.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?

Not really. He's kind of a loner.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?

His old childhood friend Seth Winters, a fellow paranormal investigator. Seth works freelance as opposed to specifically with the SCP, and travels often, but they communicate constantly.

6. Does he have other close friends?

No. His fellow field operative Agent Zhen is motherly towards him, but finds his 'women need protection' mentality grating.

7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?

He makes snarky remarks and makes people laugh, but close friendships are rare for him.

8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?

Family. Holy Allfather, family. He would die for them.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?

Was engaged to be married. His girlfriend was killed by SCP 96. After that he has not dated, though before that he had a normal teenage dating life.

10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?

No. He has a lot of issues with romance. His worrying and possessiveness would, if he ever got in a relationship, probably wreck it.

11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?

Cathy Maiorca, in first grade. He gave her a fish shaped ring and she played with him all the time. Eventually they broke up when she decided she wanted to marry a prince. His last was his girlfriend Jessalyn DeLage, who he dated for three years of highschool.

12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?

Upbeat, optimistic, energetic woman attract him. He is drawn to women who are hopeful and idealistic. Not really big on blonde women, though.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?

No and no.

14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?

SCP 280 hates him, as he has captured it three times. Other SCPs who are sentient might try and kill him, but not because they know who he is. It's just their nature.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?

He's a 2. He's mostly dated women but there was the Seth incident he really enjoyed and may or may not have repeated more than he admits. He's just not comfortable with admitting he's attracted to men, so it tends to end up being girls.

16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?

He's not really a flirty or overtly sexual person. He considers it fairly important and, while not against sex before marriage, he doesn't do casual sex. Except maybe with one of his friends once or twice in high school.

17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?

Turn ons include his hands, his neck, and biting. Turn offs are excessive force, angry sex and being pinned down.

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?

He's an okay match for a Saggitarius. He is not idealistic or hedonistic. He is, however, honest and driven. His mental illness has made him less of a match for his sign as time goes on.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?

He's the son of a Norse god and a human woman. He's also a member of an organization that encounters paranormal entities regularly. He believes in the paranormal and supernatural, but isn't really religious.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?

He does. It's basically a 'I have to do everything I can to help the world and the people around me' complex. This backfires as his perfectionist nature screws up his interpersonal relationships fantastically. But if things were bad enough he would be willing to let a SCP Agent or two die, as well as D-Class. His ethics are all based in his father's but erroded by his job.

4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?

So long as you aren't infringing on his rights or the rights of other beings, he doesn't care. He is curious about some beliefs, but again, his father is Thor. How can he say something isn't real after that?

5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?

Women need to be protected! And fought for, and kept out of the line of fire.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?

2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?

Technically he's royalty. But he was raised on Earth and while upper-middle class, he was never spoiled.

3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?

The SCP supplies their agents with hotel rooms or apartments if the assignment is lengthy. Otherwise he has lived on a classified site for the last year or so.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?

Books, movies, Chinese food, music, and on occassion vodka.

5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?

SCP Foundation field agent. Competent. He doesn't enjoy it, but views it as necessary. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if he just sat back and did nothing while the world is in danger.

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?

He reads a lot. He reads a little bit of everything and he has been known to watch documentaries for hours.

7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?

He's skipped a meal or two by forgetting about it. He occassionally gets smashed and passes out drunk, but that's not something he'd admit to.

3. Time of day? Dawn
4. Season? Winter
5. Book? Cynthia Voigt novels
6. Music? Screamo (not that he'd admit it)
