Pen and ink on vellum. Koh-i-Noor Technical pens (0, 00, 3x0, 4x0) on vellum. Some post-processing (border, a bit of fading around the blue hatch) in Photoshop CC.
Note: I almost always use reference drawings. If you put "underwater rope bondage male" into google image search, one of the pictures I used for Dean's upper body pops up fairly quickly. The idea for the rope on the lower legs came from some lovely pictures at kinkbaku.tumblr.com - this one in particular is gorgeous. Visit the blog and scoll down for more of the merman picures...if that's your thing. (It's my thing, ngl). These links are nsfw...no manbits on display, but your employer might object to lovely men in rope.
