For Those of You Who Have Ever Wondered...

What happens when you do, in fact, allow a medication which warns you Do Not Place in Contact With Mucous Membranes...

It gives you one nasty-ass nose bleed.

Seriously, the warnings are there for a reason.

I like to think that you intake medication by throwing the pills up into the air and then catching them in your mouth. The problem arose this time because you overshot the pill and it landed in your nostril causing a serious-but-funny nose bleed.

Yes, I like to think.

You're quite close. The medication in question did in fact find it's way into my nostrils and into contact with my nasal lining. It was NOT, however, a pill; it was a cream. (It's easier to accidentally shovel that stuff up there.)

Oh, yeah, that actually makes more sense because if the medication wouldn't actually touch your nose if it was a pill...

How long did the bleeding take to stop?

Prolly about ten minutes. It really slowed me down that morning.
