Wrote a sort of a poem, inspired by, and thus dedicated to, one French singer. Not that they would ever find out or care, which is fortunate in itself.
Nonsense follows.
***
In the light of a single lamp
Darkness beckons into embrace
And a litany of strange sounds
Flows impossible to make sense
Of the words on a clear night sky
With the glow of the distant worlds
Only words that make mouth go dry
Many words, foreign words, words
Tune like softness of tropic seas
After lifetime of search and hide
Must be what every soul may need
With the change of its drowsy tide
Washing worry and tears away
In a wave of the pain and salt
And the rustle of silence may
Be the last feeling in the world
