Break pranced into the elegantly furnished room, cups and saucers stacked on his head, balanced precariously. He held the kettle of tea by its handle in one hand.
“Tea is ready, Lady Sharon,” he said cheerfully with a smile. He set the kettle on the table, and then he bowed and, with a sweeping motion, pulled the stack of dishes from the top of his head.
He placed a saucer and cup in front of the watching pink-haired young lady; her expression was gently amused, but unsurprised, as if she had seen this-or something similar-many times before.
Break poured her tea and his own, and then he sat on the other chair, sideways, draped over it with an odd sort of elegance. Sharon sipped her tea and smiled over her cup at him.
“What is on the agenda for today, Break?”
Break smiled, popping a sucker that he had pulled from somewhere into his mouth. There was a crunch as he snapped off half of the sucker with his teeth.
“Ah~, the normal business, as usual, my lady,” he said, smirking, candy between his teeth.
Sharon nodded, sipping her tea, entirely unconcerned.
Break smiled, eating the rest of the hard candy with a few crunches.
