[....

Well. The symbolism-or at least one piece of it-is rather obvious to Dominic. It's hard to forget those eyes.]

... One might think that you miss him, Break.

Hardly, Mister Dominic. Merely a dream, and nothing more.

Maybe. But, as presumptuous as it may be of me, I can't imagine that you usually go on for long without plotting against him.

[Just observing, most dreams here seemed to lack symbolism and were straight to the point but this one... Interesting]

Makes you wonder why the rat was there to begin with... Maybe?

[...ahaha. This is fun. c:]

Why, I rather disagree, Mister Izaya. If dreams were sensible, we'd have nothing to compare the non-sen-si-cal!

[Oh, another person that apparently knew him?]

Just because it's a dream doesn't make everything in it nonsense though, wouldn't you think so? The sleeping mind is an interesting thing after all, pulling from things like memories and emotions.

I never suggested so! Merely that there is a very large dose of the nonsensical in all of our minds, and thus our dreams as well. It is best to not dig too deeply, lest one come out the other end!

[Ada blinked. That rat's eyes were familiar to her too but she wondered what it all meant. The symbolism... this was the second negative impression she'd gotten about him since arriving here.]

...a rat?

Do you dislike rats?

[...ohoh. Miss Ada, back again, and he's going to assume by her answer that she has forgotten everything.

That...he approves of.]

Ah! Miss Ada, what a pleasure to have you back.

[He answers the question then...in a manner of speaking.]

Surely you agree that rats do not belong at the table for tea?

[Oh. So he remembered her from before too.

She wondered what all she had seen and forgotten from that time.]

Ah... thank you.

[Ada bowed her head politely with a small smile.]

Well, no... I suppose not. But why were it's eyes like...

[...like Vincent's.]

[A tilt of his head and one elegant finger goes to tap at his lips.

Hm hm hm.]

I am afraid I'm rather at a loss to explain something so nonsensical as a dream!

[A careful pause, and then as if he had just remembered--]

Ah! Though I did have tea with my colleague Mister Vincent before he disappeared from this world. Perhaps his eyes were on my mind~

[Alice doesn't approve of Break's cruelty against animals :C.]

Isn't that going a bit overboard even for a dream?

[...:| Learn your own story, Alice--]

Ah? Why, Miss Alice, surely that is an unfair question! Dreams are hardly reality, after all; who is to say I would do such a thing on a normal day?

[He wouldn't. He'd stomp on Vincent's foot instead.]

I am afraid I still do, Mister Ace. I cannot quite seem to get away from what happens to be staring me in the face.

[You pest. :|]

[laughing.]

Except I think the pest in your dream is a bit different from the one bothering you now.

Is that so? There's a decidedly pest-like resemblance.
