That happens to me all the time, however never with prose or anything. Always with code. In my case I think I am constantly amazed at the means I use to solve whatever the problem might be. In some cases it's simply a matter of having learned more about language X. In other cases, I am amazed that what I wrote actually works.

I have this experience all the time.
I don't know who writes in this journal.
It does not feel like me.

I also feel this way about the papers I write for school.
I have no idea what I write.

At the end of her novel, The Color Purple, Alice Walker thanks the spirits that worked through her when she wrote that book.
That book and then the dedication is an amazing thing to read.

I've always attributed that to the fact that most of what we write is crap. :P
