But what is the point, I hear you ask, given that I never keep such resolutions? Well, there's always the chance that this might be the year that I do. And there are ten of them; I should be able to keep some. Maybe?
1. Read the Bible daily.
2. Buy NO books: exceptions are (1) as gifts; (2) with vouchers; (3) from GGBP; or (4) the second volume of Alice Pung's memoirs.
3. Run 10 kms (at least once in 2011).
4. Go to the gym (at least) three times a week.
5. Cut down the chocolate - try to make indulging a weekly rather than daily or hourly event.
6. Spend more time with friends.
7. Hanker less after the flesh-pots of Egypt (or, in my case, academia) and rejoice more in where God has placed me.
8. Have an article ready for submitting to The Journal of Religion and Popular Culture by the end of 2011.
9. Lose that wretched 10 kilos that will get me to my healthiest weight.
10. Worry less; love more.
