I was in the audience for the taping of the first variety show of the brilliant and "nice" comedian Adam Hills. He'd asked all his audience members to fill in an incredibly detailed survey about our lives and interests, and he seemed fascinated by me being a sci-fi loving minister. So we chatted about that for a while, particularly my Buffy-obsession, and then he showed an ad for "The Church of Latter Day Geeks" - a place where people could discuss how a Stargate worked or learn Klingon or debate which was the best Doctor Who. It was lots of fun and I thought the ad was hilarious.

Adam Hills is fabulous, and often taks his stand-up shows overseas, so if he ever turns up near you make sure you go see him.
