Crashing my car - not part of the plan

Winding country roads; torrential rain; excessive speed for the conditions - I ran my car off the road yesterday. I took a bend too fast, last control, hit the barrier, bounced across to the other side of the road, and ended up halfway up an embankment. I'm firmly convinced that once in a while the One who's looking after us hasn't managed to get our attention on a certain thing - and decides that we need a slap upside the head. So we have these near-misses that could have been a good deal worse.

So sorry you had to have the wake-up call. But I'm so glad you're all right. Be kind to yourself today!

Yes, I feel as though I've had an enormous great lesson on the need to drive carefully and responsibly. I'm listening!

Thank you for the hugs. My congregations were very nice to me yesterday - and they just said that they were glad I was okay, rather than telling me off for reckless driving. Which was good.

Thanks. And, no, I'm fine. I've had a reminder of the need to drive carefully, which I'll definitely remember. I've been lent a car by one of my congregation members that feels to me like a tank so I've been driving it slowly and carefully around the local area and I'll wait til I get my car back before I venture further afield.
