:) yes, gotta love youth. ronin_4_hire January 14 2005, 00:07:20 UTC
I run a violence prevention program challenging masculine youth culture: those ideals like having to be tough, in control, willing to be violent over stupid things, etc. One boy going through the program was giving me all the right answers, and seemed to really grasp the idea. I was actually impressed by some of the things he had to say, which is rare from students these days. The next period he was arrested for assaulting a student and teacher. Gotta love teens these days.

Knowing the answer and wanting to admit you know the answer are two different things. That being said, "suck it up" probably would've been the first thing out of my mouth. That or "Are you seriously THAT stupid?". Those would be two good reasons why i'm not a teacher.

I once had several brand new Trapper Keeper binders with the multiplication tables printed on the inside flap. My third grade teacher cut them out, claiming I could use them to cheat, but we were required to put all of our stuff inside our desks during exams.

You're not evil like her, are you?

NO... in fact I encourage that type of stuff. Like you said, during test, it is away anyway so that makes NO scense!

The only time I get truly annoyed is when they just plan are lazy and do not want to think for themselves. The class in question was actually the one period I do not spend with my class. I have my partner's class for one period and he takes mine. Needless to say, after a period of his often brain-dead class, I am so glad to have my homeroom students back! They are a group of CLUELESS CHILDREN.
