I don't remember if I've ever told you how extraordinary I think these are, but I've thought it many times. So: these are really, really lovely.

There.

I like that the last panel has a strange-looking bloke going 'OI GAFFER'. It amuses me so much.

By the way, having just filmed at a circus, if you fancy some photo ref of a country circus very much like the Busted Wonder one (but minus undercurrent of nastiness) I can send you a DVD* in the post. (And have you seen Nell Stroud's book JOSSER? It's her circus I was filming at.)

*PAL format; would require you to have a multi-region DVD player.

that book looks great - thank you for pointing my attention towards it. I need to ask around if any of the electronics junk in my life is capable of spinning PAL format - I'll email you my mailing address once I find out!

I of course saw this post when you first put it up - but I didn't want to comment the same ol' stuff...

But then 2 days I was watching the food network (which I love) and guess what they showed?? The history of Cotton Candy.

Known as Fairy Floss -- Introduced to America at the World Trade Fair in 1904.
I wish they had kept the name.

I'm sure they dropped it due to marketing. I mean what guy would want to be seen eating fairy floss?
