Hi!!!
I'm getting to old for fandoms about teenagers
Heh, yeah. That's what I thought about Teen Wolf, too. Last year. Then I don't know what happened and now I cannot stop thinking about the bloody show. Or its ripped actors.
Whole thing is giving me bizzare feelings, since TPTB seem so keen to interact with slash fans. And that's ... different.
So, hi! :)

Hi! :D
Heh. That's usually how it goes, isn't it? Famous last words, and all that.

And I know that once you get sold on a fandom, it doesn't much matter if they're teenagers or old men, you just love it all. It's just how it looks from the outside, when you're not sold.

But I suppose I've become more picky with time, I demand more from my fandom than I used to. I think.

Good to see you post. There will be a fandom that you love again. It happens. Sometimes it can take years.

I'm not interested in Teen Wolf, but I really do enjoy the Avengers. I didn't expect that to happen, but it did. So I take pleasure in it. (grin) And I'm about Jeremy Renner the way you are Tom Hardy.

Yeah, I think so too, I always feel a little bereft when I'm between fandoms...

I'd love to be into The Avengers and all that. But I haven't felt like I've wanted to. Besides, Tom Hardy does take a bit of time to fangirl. And tumblr is a better platform for just posting whatever, but a lousy one for interaction. I miss that bit quite a lot. I miss having interesting conversations with all of you!

Yeah, I don't enjoy Tumblr for the same reason. It's impersonal. As is Pinterest. I like community, and you only get that with things like LJ - where there are actual EXCHANGES. (grin)

Yeah, I agree. However, when your fandoms start to diverge, it's harder to reach out to new people on LJ. On tumblr you reach the people who are the most interested right away. For a while, I felt that posting on LJ was like posting into an empty space, with no one responding. And no one on my friendslist interested in the same things.

My ultimate blog platform would be a combination of the two: tags which everyone can follow (if I want to) AND the opportunity for an exchange of comments and discussions etc. I need both those things!

I have 2500 followers on tumblr now, which is more than I ever thought possible. You can never reach that many people here. (And I realise that one might not want to - I don't always want to reach everyone, but when you do, it's brilliant. If I find something good, I want to share it with the world!)
