As much input as I can get

Am I the only one that thinks, even though I'm visiting, I should not take the kids out of school for the time being? My ex wife makes it sound like, if I want to spend as much time as possible I shouldn't let them go to school Wed and Thur, on top of the Monday I already kept them out. They do get their work done rather fast, although Isaiah does seem to have alot of work. But leaving them in school was the best idea. Thank you! ;)

Agreed--they should stay in school. Even aside from the short-term implications of them missing (having to catch up, etc), they need to know exactly how important school is.

My mom used to ask me to stay home from school to watch her dogs when it was really cold outside, or to clean, or whatever. She ended up asking me so often that I completely lost my respect for school and fucked things up (I was too young to really think for myself).

So's I'm a bit sensitive about this type of thing.

Understood! I agree. Their mom let's them slack way too often. On a couple occasions, if her husband, Mike, wasn't home, Destiny would slack at getting them ready for school. Granted that is rather rare, but she uses the excuse she gets home at 6a.m. from work. The kids, well, Isaiah has respect school for school. Keeping that respect is key. Good point! Thank you!
