Friends near San Francisco say "It is dry here... we need the rain!" but do they really mean it?

Understand that the bay area gets ALL of it's rain during approximately 3 months of winter. After it is done, there is no more until the next winter.

indeed... though it looks like this past year there were surprise rainstorms in June, July and September... and nothing really in January.

This is a cool representation of the data, wouldn't you say?

Yes I would. Of course, it would be quite interesting to see these data for various neighborhoods within San Francisco. The city is full of micro climates and the weather can be markedly different from one neighborhood to the next.

True true!! they have a temperature plot as well, see the link above.
