I came home. I saw a box with my name on it and THIS:
I proceeded to get very excited. The bros did not appreciate the squeaking, but they had to endure it nonetheless, because, I mean, come on. I got PRESENTS. From some of the sweetest gals around.
Unfortunately I have a bazillion thingies happening at the moment, all of which are super important and are making me want to tear out my hair, so I did not get the time to video the box opening. Suffice to say, the bros were insanely jealous, I was (and still am) on a ridiculous high, and I love you all. LOADS. You guys are awesome. The absolute best. Here is a picture of my desk in uni (this is actually it tidied up, usually it looks like a bomb has hit it, but I figured it the internet was going to see it, I should at least make it look reasonable). Can you spot the objects? (What you can't see are the two penguin books which are sitting in the bookcase area...And that penguin hat is always there since I don't use the desktop, and it has been worn on numerous occasions, to the consternation of whichever fellow thesis writer I go out and get coffee with at the time).
