Hey guys,

I had a little bit of spare time (and I was in kind of a giddy mood) and I couldn't resist tinkering a little bit with the hard boiled/noir ish detective fic that I have promised myself I will not touch until after Hooligans.

As for Alex, I think it's just decided, he is Kunzite, there's no two ways about it.

So I have a young Marlon for Nephrite, Tony Curtis for Darien and much more importantly,

For Zoisite, what about James Dean?

For Ace, the young Paul Newman? Or the young Tony Curtis? Or the young Steve McQueen?

And while I don't think there's a better Kunzite than Skarzite, the young Gregory Peck is tall and has a presence and I could see him lurking outside Ace's office and giving Mina all sorts of feelings when looking at her without speaking.

Oh no. Oh no no NO! Lytton! Now I am confused!

First off, James Dean as Zoisite is BRILLIANT and is a sealed deal, but now you bring in Paul Newman and Steve McQueen.

Paul Newman has an icy glare. Cairo has an icy glare. Paul Newman looks like he can see straight into your soul. Cairo also looks like he can see straight into your soul. Paul Newman is HOT, Cairo is hot. Do you see where this is going?

But then from there I thought, hmm, he's not quite as rugged as I want him to be, AND THEN I thought of Daniel Craig who could be very ruggedly hot and just a wee bit scary...

So maybe Daniel Craig, maybe Paul Newman, maybe Skarsgard... but no Gregory Peck, that man is Atticus Finch and Horatio Hornblower, he is too perfect to be Cairo Roth. But I am still juggling three now. THREE OF THEM! WHICH ONE, LYTTON?! WHICH ONE?!

You know, I like the Craig idea. Craig is so grumpy. Grumpy but hot. It fits. But Skarzite is melancholagrumphotalicious. Hmmmmmm.....
