This weekend was a lovely break from seeing movies. I love movies, don't get me wrong. I have happily seen 24 movies as of last Thursday, and 26 as of today in SIFF.

This weekend was time for a hike out to the Olympic Peninsula to try out Lee's backpacking legs and the new tarptent. The tarptent was awesome - light, huge, easy to set up. ( Read more... )

this weekend was the first car camping trip of the year. usually car camping is not my first choice for how to get outside for sleeping on the ground, but it's pretty darn nice when it is carpooling with Lee and his housemates, eating food, drinking beer, watching sunsets from the bluff and sitting around campfires. new job is going well. I like the work and my co-workers. I am adjusting to a new schedule with regular hours and more free time. It's actually been a little difficult and that's funny. But I am learning new things and I like that. And I get to go to the Seattle Film Fest as part of my job. awesome ( Read more... )

New job starts tomorrow AM! I've had a lot of "new job first days" over the last several years as a freelancer... but this one will be my last for awhile as this is a full time gig! I am excited.
