poor people discounts! which i had forgotten about until you mentioned this here... yes! but you have to go down to the main office for parks and recreation (in stanley park) you have to prove your low income and fill out some forms, and then they give you a card or something to get discounts...
i haven't done this myself yet (lazy; keep forgetting)
but yes... fully possible.

There's a place here that has swimming for $2 after 10pm.
Maybe there's a place like that there?
