You artsies have it easy. We can't defer assignments or projects. The marking scheme usually says: it's either on time or it's a zero.

Try just lying on your eye for several minutes while it's closed. The eye's natural fluids should be able to wash anything that might be inside it away.

This is hardly easy... I'm taking 6 courses and working two jobs. I'm suffering from depression and this deferment is a MEDICAL one, not just a "Hey, prof, can I hand this in a bit later, ok thanks!". I don't mean to get snippy, but us artsies don't always have it all that easy. And mostly that's cause our own profs buy into the bullshit that is propagated by the other faculties saying we have it so easy and thus they expect way more of us. I'm not saying engineers or computer science or health science or business students have it easy... they definitely have it pretty tough. But I'd like to see them all reading a dozen plays/novels , writing a dozen essays, 6 midterms and 6 exams in the space of 3 and a half months - all in french, I might add. We artsies have it just as tough as anyone else, and some argue we have it tougher (although I don't know that I agree with that) because there are no right or wrong answers with essays... you could write what you thought was the best essay of your life and get a C-, or you could write what ( ... )

Aww, hon. It was totally tongue-in-cheek. I'm sorry if this is a bad time for jokes. I didn't realize.

Good luck on whatever coursework you have left to do.

Thanks. And like I said, sorry if I was snippy. I've been really irritable the last couple days... weeks. It's not really you, it's my general grumpiness towards the world.

That would suck.
Don't go blind.
Go to the doctor...

Maybe you kind finally get that pair of rose-coloured glasses I hear so much about.

I got visine. It seems better today.
Also, frankly, I don't think I need rose-coloured glasses. I like my vision of the world and I don't think I'm too pessimistic. Besides, if I'm not mistaken, having rose-coloured glasses isn't a good thing. Being optimistic might be, but "rose coloured glasses" has a negative connotation.

I think your world view is okay too.

I just thought it might be nice to see things pinker.
...from time to time.
...for a time.

Our world...but with icing.
