So, for those of you out there in the home audience who don't already know, I have been unemployed since March 5. I am still looking for work, and haven't had a nibble in a while, but I also know that I am impatient and that the government takes forever to call and interview and hire people. But I also worry that I'm going to spend the rest of my life unemployed (since I am overqualified for lots of jobs and underqualified for lots of others, plus I worry about my references and there's an issue with my PA license not being active right now because I fell behind on CLE credits, but it's thousands of dollars (which I don't have right now) to rectify the problem). I will not be living on the corner (because
icewolf010 and
torberg are incredibly awesome and supportive friends who have offered me the use of their spare room until I'm back on my feet, but I don't want to take advantage of them forever and the whole situation makes me flaily (and give up punctuation)).
Plus, as many of you have noticed and commented, I don't want to do much of anything--which sucks, because I have lots of stuff to do. I don't know how to fix that.
So. This would be why I haven't posted in a while.
Also, a request/opinion question: I'll be moving out at the end of the month (either the last weekend or April 30th), depending. Is there anyone in the DC/Baltimore area who would be willing to help me move? I've gotten estimates for professional movers, and they seem to be running in the $320-$375. I can probably swing it if people aren't available, but I'd prefer not to outlay the extra $150 if I don't have to. On the other hand...it might be worth the extra money if it'll be easier and no one will be injured in the process of moving. I can't decide. Thoughts?
