I thank you so much for this! I'm Brazilian and I'm quite curious about all these fallouts among the fandom. I began to read things about HP in the internet in September 2003, but only editorials at Mugglenet, some forums, things like that. I only began reading fanfics in July 2004. I couldn't understand all the ship wars and why H/G fanfiction was so bashed. Well, I don't think this report explains all, since there were H/Gers among the people that believed in MsScribe (for instance Irina), but it may explain it at least partially.
How can people spend so much time trying to achieve such mediocre goals is really unbelievable.

Thank you for your hard work!

You might be interested in knowing that I received a comment on one of my pieces on Portkey.org's gallery within the last year from a member who used the exact same picture as the pretty Asian girl in infinitus's icon. Let me see if I can find it for you (Unless it is already part of your investigation?)!

Darn it, I can't seem to find the comment or the picture any longer. But I clearly remember that it was the exact same image, because I distinctly remember viewing her profile after seeing her comment and thinking that she was really pretty (I am Chinese-American, so I take note of fellow Asians in the fandom :D). So sorry! I wish I could've helped...

Tch, tch. People like this need such a lot of therapy. Or tranquiliser.

In any case, I'm trying to read all of this, but LJ reports an error, quoting,

"Error running style: Style code didn't finish running in a timely fashion. Possible causes:
Infinite loop in style or layer

Database busy",

quite often. It's obviously a little annoying, and I just wanted to let you know, in case more people were facing the same difficulties, and in case the problem could be resolved with the click of a mouse (although, knowing LJ, this will not be likely).

Just refresh the page and that should take care of it... if not, just refresh again until the whole page loads. They're long so sometimes the loading stops before everything is up.
