Title: Alone.
Rating: nc-17 for language and potential sexytimes in future.
Disclaimer: I don't own the LilyKat, and this is all very fictional.
A/N: So, when I started writing this, I didn't really intend to post it. But idk, it feels sort of post-worthy. I need you to tell me if I should continue though, please? Thankyou in advance :)
Lily was being fucking retarded as usual. It was 4:30am, shooting some stupid fucking scene, that really, Kat had no part in. Lily's bounding around, grinning like a fucking idiot, spouting some shit about what happened last night. Kat's mood is dangerously close to becoming violent.
"Lily, what the fuck are you talking about?" She grinds out, massaging her temples. Jesus, she really shouldn't have had that much to drink last night, but Meg was sad. Needed cheering up and a rebound boy after her breakup. A rebound boy who turned out to be a rebound girl, anyway. She should ask Meg about that. Later maybe.
Lily turned from Kaya, who really wasn't listening anyway.
"Just last night." She smiles, about to dive back into her story. Kaya looks like she's about to kill herself; she rolls her eyes as Lily takes a deep breath and a ridiculous grin settles.
"Why? What was last night?" Kat interrupts, still frowning. Kaya looks up at Kat, giving a thankful look as she slips away unnoticed, and Lily's attention is turned fully to Kat.
Oh, fuck. Well done, Kat. Now you get to hear about her stupid fucking night in, with her stupid fucking boyfriend. No doubt.
"My boyfriend," Lily starts with a grin. Kat rolls her eyes, and prepares to ignore everything that's uttered from between Lily's lips. Lily hardly notices that Kat's not listening, off in a world of her own. She's telling the story to Lisa and maybe Jack, though he's texting someone, distant from Lily's world of puppy love and other disgusting rubbish.
Kat stands, walks past Lily, and over to Kaya, shocking the blonde who was mid-story about some "Totally like, amazing dancing!"
Kat and Kaya chat for a minute or two, before they both nod, smile, and walk away. They arrange to get the cast together at a club. It's quick, simple, and Kat's thankful for that. Kaya always seems to know just what she needs; a piss-up night with friends she doesn't know well enough to discuss her personal life with.
Lily assumes it must be something important, Kat's reason for disappearing. She assumes Kat will return to hear the rest of the story. Kat does not. She walks to another corner of the room, sits alone blasting music loudly into her ears. She has her eyes closed, as if somehow the old metal is actually calming her. Lily frowns.
"Do you think you'll marry him?" Lisa grins. It's all so reminiscent of being in primary school, having sleepovers, discussing which shitty pop artist you want to marry.
Lily grins, bites her lip, (in which Kat observes to be a purely mechanical manner.)
"Over-fucking-compensating." She mutters, certain that she can read Lily a lot better than the oblivious blonde realises.
"Oh, definitely." Lily gushes, but glancing over at the stroppy redhead in the corner, she excuses herself from Lisa and her excited giggles.
"What's your problem." Lily stands with her hands on her hips, frowning down at the redhead, who hasn't even looked up from her iPod yet.
"Kat." She says between gritted teeth. Kat continues to fiddle with her iPod.
"For fuck's sake, Kathryn!" She yanks the headphones off her head.
"Ow! What the fuck!" Kat snatches the headphones back, and pauses her iPod.
"What's your problem?" Lily narrows her gaze.
"My problem?! What's your fucking problem!?" Kat inspects her headphones for potential damage. Lily rolls her eyes at the overdramatic-ness that is Kathryn Prescott. She says nothing, but still attacks her under her scrutinising gaze. Eventually Kat can ignore it no longer.
"What?" She tries to sound angry, but her voice breaks easily.
"What is the matter." She says it slowly, punctuates clearly between each word.
"What's the matter?!" Kathryn finally errupts, throws her hands up in the air, about to throw a fit.
"Fucking 4am wake up calls, are the matter! Fucking 2 hours sleep, are the matter! Fucking Skins, fucking Lily, and fucking Lily's stupid fucking twat-fucking-headed cunt of a fucking boyfriend. FUCK." She let out a frustrated scream before shoving her headphones back on, pulling her hood up, and screwing her eyes shut.
Lily doesn't know what to say.
"Um," She starts, a frown appears. Kat can't see or hear anyway. It's immature, Lily thinks. But Kat is immature. Running away from a problem, hiding. Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil.
Lily mutters something under her breath, thinking she has the solution. She wanders over to Meg.
"Meg?" She calls sweetly. Meg turns, eyes Lily suspiciously.
"What do you want?" She's like, psychic or something. Probably really is the fucking pope, I don't know.
"Kat's being a stroppy cow, can you sort her out? I need to talk to her." Meg rolls her eyes, muttering a few choice curse words. Lily thinks she'll leave her and Kat to it.
They have their moment. Meg yanks off the headphones, Kat throws a warning 'Don't-fuck-with-me-today' glare. Meg ignores her, gives her a short talking to. Kat grumbles in agreement, and Meg finally nods at Lily as they pass.
Lily doesn't know how she does it. Miracle worker. Pope.
"Hi," Lily says, a slightly softer tone lacing her words.
"Hi," Kat mutters reluctantly.
"Want to talk?"
"Not particularly." Lily sighs at the redhead, sits next to her.
"I thought we sorted this, Kat."
"Sorted what?" Kat scoffs, looking away. She crosses her arms. Kat does that a lot, Lily notices. Meg tried to explain it all, once.
~"She, like, doesn't want you to know, y'know?" Meg slurs, doesn't make much sense. Lily just frowns, far too sober in contrast to Megan.
"Like, she loves people, obviously. But she doesn't want them to know, 'cause that'll make her, like, vulnerable, or something." Meg pauses to hiccup before continuing, "So she acts like she doesn't even care. Gets all fucking like, defensive, if you try to talk about feelings and shit." Meg rolls her eyes, as if this was all very obvious. Lily scratches her head, confused and tired.
"I don't know, Meg."
"What's not to fucking know?" She almost explodes. "She doesn't let people in. She doesn't like, do emotions. Not unless she's in control." Meg grows bored of this conversation, and dances away.
Their twin thing is kind of cute, really. How they understand eachother, even if it is in a drunken, wobbly state.~
She tries to make Kat feel in control, just to get somewhere, just to make some progress. She really doesn't know how to do it - especially when she doesn't even feel like she's the one in control at the moment.
"Please talk to me." She tries. Kat sighs. It's a start.
"I just- I need to know, you know?" Kat frowns at this, doesn't move though, so Lily continues.
"What's happened to us?" She whispers, hesitating slightly before taking Kat's hand. Kat sighs, unfolds her arms and turns to face the blonde. She winces when she realises that she missed the contact lost when she turned, and takes Lily's hands in her own again.
"Lils, you know everything you need to, okay? I know you do. You just won't look at it." Kat's words are slow, like there's a meaning she needs Lily to understand, but she won't say it, and Lily can't get it.
"Show me," She whispers, dangerously closing the space between them.
"I can't." It sounds like an apology. She leans away, stands, and is gone far too quickly. Lily feels dizzy.
"Fuck." she mutters.
They don't talk for the rest of the day, but not through lack of trying. Lily tries at every opportunity, to talk. But Kathryn has an amazing ability to disappear when she wants to. She's gone, quickly, all the time. Within minutes of being dismissed, Lily cannot find her anywhere, and no one else can seem to either.
Lily returns home. She can't help but think about everything that's happened, and as she falls onto her bed, staring firmly at the ceiling, she tries to decode Kat's riddles. It's like talking to Effy.
Effy. Maybe Kaya can help. She gets this sort of thing.
She considers bringing Kaya in, but then, they're not particularly close. She isn't sure she wants someone else to get involved anyway. And besides, she doesn't know how Kat would react to Kaya being told everything between them. She decides against that idea.
The blonde releases a frustrated scream into the air, and screws her eyes shut, willing the angry tears to go away. She thinks that to feel this alone is far too close to torture.
A/N: I really don't know. Should I this carry on? Be honestttt.
