A snowy walk with Ally

The weather here is completely erratic. On Saturday it was 70 degrees, and felt hot in the sunshine. Sunday it snowed 4 inches and never got above freezing. It snowed all day Monday, too, but today the sun came out. Ally and I took a walk at Rock Ledge Ranch over near the Garden of the Gods.

Get used to the weather :) It's almost guaranteed that if we get a decent amount of snow, the day before and the day after will be completely blue skies and warm temperatures. But then again... that would be trying to make Colorado weather predictable, and that it is definitely not.

Either way... based on the way this winter has been, I'm expecting a sudden blizzard in late April or May. Something about the intuition you get from living in a place all your life. So don't be surprised if it's been 75 for 2 weeks straight and then we get 3 feet of snow.

My God!!! Ally is simply magnificent....and those shots are simply gorgeous....what breed of dog is Ally?

Aw, thanks! We are quite fond of our little sweetie. The vet at the pound where we adopted her said that she is an Aussie shepherd mix, and Mike and I think she might be part Rottweiler. It's hard to know, though!

Really, really cool photographs. I especially like the majesty of the second one and Ally's mid-air full-tilt running towards you. She seems happy and thrilled to be alive and sharing it all with you.

Ally is such a happy dog! She loves to run around in the mountains like that, but she also loves to cuddle with us at home. She's a great addition to our family. :)

Beautiful shots. Even though it's snowy .... they elicit feelings of warmth in me. And i ♥ the mid-air Ally! My god she's so cute!!

Would love to be able to get Ally, Tobey, Tallulah & Google together ... they would all be so funny together!

That would be so much fun! Ally is slowly starting to get over her shyness around other dogs. When we started dog training classes a few weeks ago, she spent the first few classes hiding under our chairs!
