Luke/Mara (♥)
First of all, so love the fact that this interest was chosen! I was so disheartened that it wasn't plugged enough into LJ for it to be a hyperlinked phrase.
I've never read any of the novels that introduce Mara and her subsequent relationship with Luke. With the recent hype on JJ Abrams having the green Light on Star Wars Episode VII, I got the urge to check out fics and came across these two in one of the many Han/Leia fics I was reading.
Luke has always come off as a bit of a foil and too naive to be of interest, much. Not when Han Solo was on the scene. ;) But then I read a trilogy of epic fanfics that sold me on Luke and the ship of Mara/Luke: Son of Suns by blank101. Luke is being turned to the Dark Side and Mara is working for Emperor Palpatine. It's gritty, imperfect but satisfying - go read now!
Kaylee Frye
She is the heart of the crew of Serenity. What I like most about her is how sweet she is and then in random moments she'll remind me that she isn't actually that innocent (her innuendos to Simon) but chooses to see the better in life around her as opposed to the negative and drama. I enjoy her practicality.
Jane Austen
A woman before her time. I have to admit, I think I've only read Pride and Prejudice. The rest have been film/TV/web series adaptations. And of course fanfiction :) I just like her characters and the fact that they (or at least the main characters) experience some sort of significant character arc within the story. Plus it's romance. Love romance <3

On a bored day, I downloaded GIMP, went to The Dark Arts, a graphics forum, and started making little creations. You can see them here. They aren't awesome or anything but I'm getting there. It's just fun and one more creative outlet for me.

Doctor/Rose
They are how I found LJ and the wonderful comms! They introduced me to fanfiction and started me to the wonderful world of obsessing fangirling! The Doctor, a lonely God, Rose, the girl who changed his life and who stole his hearts. *sigh* what more do I need?
