I have probably completely ruined my sleep cycle. Tired at 8 pm, up at 2 am, tired again at 6 am. Planning a shopping trip, looking for ways to organize unruly home office ahead of visit from neat-freak friend and found this recipe. As soon as the sun comes up, I'm going to the market for the ingredients!

I am sad today. Overwhelmed and coming down with a cold. I don't want to do anything but go back to bed. I have deadlines and a sink full of dishes. It's 75 degrees, sunny and breezy out. The irony of the "great day."

When I can't sleep, I watch episodes of Mock the Week. I think it just makes me relax. Or maybe laughing makes me tired. Frankie Boyle and Andy Parsons are my favorites, Micky Flannagan and David Mitchell are right behind them.

I'm having a hormonal day. Started the day in a massive traffic jam. At work and wanting to be at home. Tired, hungry. Ugh.

So, I'm using my headphones to drown out the sounds of certain voices in my office and I remember this. I was an angry little girl and I LOVED this song (and the movie)!

I never watched One Tree Hill - but this beautiful, haunting song was on the show once upon a time. So many terrible shows feature fantastic music. Lately, I'm finding great stuff in commercials and on "I hate to admit I watch this show"-type shows. I have a stack of work to do, and it's great. Because it's making time fly by and getting me closer to Sunday night's new episode of Game of Thrones.

Based on the thin-Ser Jaime scenes in the book (and the fact they moved that scene up to Series 1), any scene involving Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (who looks even better covered in dirt) is a gift.

Every year or so, I discover an actor and get totally enthralled with him such that I spend a month (or longer depending on his resume) hunting down and watching everything I can get my hands on.
