What would you have told me about your impressions of Sharon Valerii if I’d asked you in the first couple months after the attacks? I’ll tell you what…you’d have told me she was a kind, brave, and caring person and you’d have sworn that she couldn’t be like any of the cylons we’d met.”
Such a great idea, and I love how patient Bill is with everything, slowly disarming her, and making her feel better. The rapport between them is beautiful and tangible and that carries right through the sex, which was sweet and hot and very 'them'.
An amazing first crack at A/R, and I love that they're the first ones that you went MA with --beautifully done!

it somehow felt like this sudden shift, and something that had been building for so long, all at once...I'd never have thought to describe it this way, but I think you've just captured kind of how I feel about their relationship as a whole in that one sentence.
I'm glad you enjoyed my run-on sentence of Bill's opinions, hehe, it does seem like a very Bill thing to do to simply list the facts and use them to make his point. I saw that you've posted a couple chapters of a new fic for the charity drive as well, and I'm looking forward to reading them! (Just as soon as I finish my work that's due Thursday that I put off in order to complete this fic in time).

I just love their dialogue (seriously, this is your first A/ R fic? O.o) and the ending is so sweet and funny with Billy finding them. My hat is off to you!

She gets so honest with herself and with Bill, but you show that it doesn't come easy, either. And I loved one of her "symptoms" being really missing the little things about home (her heel collection made me LOL). What I'm trying to say (poorly) is that this is an incredibly *alive* Laura and I liked her a lot.
Then Bill, being the great friend, comrade in arms, healer, and lover with a good sense of humor--that was perfect. You have him be so logical, but he doesn't immediately make it all better--I love that he is willing to validate her fears while he's moving to comfort her (among other things). I can't believe you haven't been writing A/R for years--you have a terrific sensibility about them. I hope you write more!

And yes, I fully believe Laura had a great lingerie and shoe collection on Caprica, hehe, so I'm glad it made you laugh.

I like Laura having the nondescript differences and her attributing them to the Cylon transfusion.
And Bill uses all of his tricks, logic, humor, sex, to help calm her fears. Well done for a first stab at A/R.!!
