Groo: I take a deep breath and walk down the stairs. If I desire her to trust me, I must trust her. I know she said she is not hungry, but I hope the smell of the food will change her mind. I make eggs, sausage, and bacon, not yet knowing what she enjoys. I also prepare some biscuits, taking the food to the table.
Julie: I take a long shower relaxing and washing my hair.
Groo: I sit patiently at the table, knowing she will come down when she is ready. I do not wish to rush her nor will I check on her, even though I desire to be near her. I believe my feelings are growing for each moment.
Julie: Once out of the shower I pull a robe over me and lay back in the bed. It felt nice.
Groo: I look up as I hear the water in the shower stop. I wait for several more minutes and decide she is not going to come down. I search the kitchen for a tray, finding one and loading the items on it. I walk carefully up the stairs, knocking softly on the door to the bedroom.
Julie: "You sleep in here too, you don't need to knock." I say softly
Groo: I smile as I walk in. "I did not wish to intrude," I say softly as I sit the tray down on the large bed, sitting down beside her. "This is your home, I wish you to feel safe."
Julie: "Thank you."
Groo: "You are welcome," I say, serving small amounts of food onto a plate and attempting to hand it to her. "I know you said you are not hungry, but I would be pleased if you would attempt to eat something. When was the last time you ate?"
Julie: "Monday maybe....but I am not hungry." I said softly
Groo: "Monday was several days ago, Julie. Please, attempt to eat. I know what it is like to be without food, there is no need."
Julie: "Please don't do this." I ask of him "I...I can't."
Groo: I sit the plate down between us. "You cannot what?" I ask gently.
Julie: "I...I can't eat." I said softly
Groo: I take her hand gently, looking at her. "Do you wish to tell me why you feel you are unable to eat?"
Julie: "I'm not hungry." I say
Groo: "Julie, you are human, you must be hungry," I say softly, not wanting to push her too far but wanting her to understand she may eat.
Julie: "Maybe later" I say pushing the tray away.
Groo: I move the tray onto the small table beside the bed. "As you wish," I smile kindly at her. "Do you desire to do anything today?"
Julie: "I think I may rest some more." I said feeling tired.
Groo: I smile and lay down next to her. "Do you mind if I hold you?"
Julie: "Don't mind." I said honestly. I just felt weak.
Groo: I move over in the bed closer to her, pulling her to lay her head on my shoulder, my arms wrapped around her. "I am pleased."
Julie: "Just so tired." I whispered as I fell asleep.
Groo: I smile as I feel her breathing become more regular, gently stroking her hair as I watch her sleep. I do not believe I have ever wanted to protect someone so much.
Julie: I turn in my sleep, moving out of his arms. Somehing doesn't feel right though.
Groo: Her movement stirs me, I open my eyes and realize she is still asleep. "It is all right, Julie, come back to me," I say softly, gently pulling her closer to me.
Julie: I relax a bit then instantly shoot upright. "GROO" I shout fearful that my dream of his death is true.
Groo: I sit suddenly up with her, my hand gently turning her face to look at him. "I am here, my sweet Julie. There is nothing to fear," I say gently to her.
Julie: I cling to him sobbing.
Groo: I wrap my arms around her, pulling her gently onto my lap. "It is all right, I will not allow anyone to harm you," I say softly, kissing her tears.
Julie: I pull back "You don't know that."
Groo: "I am sorry. I only mean that I will not allow anyone to harm you if I can prevent it," I say gently.
Julie: "You died..."
Groo: "What? I have never died, sweet Julie. Did you dream that happened?" I ask her gently.
Julie: "You died, I couldn't stop it, you died. "
Groo: I hold her close and rock her gently. "I have no intention of leaving you, my sweet Julie. I will not die if I can prevent it, I have only just found you. I could not bear the thought of leaving you."
Julie: "You will though. One day you will get tired of me and leave....or maybe think I want someone else, or whatever, you will leave...."
Groo: I lift her chin gently, looking into her eyes. "I will not. I will not tire of you, nor will I believe you will desire someone else unless you tell me so. I trust you."
Julie: I pull away "It will happen. "
Groo: "Julie, I will not. Would you like to know how I came to this dimension?" I ask.
Julie: I reluctantly nod.
Groo: I look down, speaking softly. "Angel and his friends travelled to Pylea. Cordelia, Willow spoke of her earlier, had been accidentally pulled through a portal. She was captured and purchased by one of my kinfolk as a cow, a worker. She had visions and was soon found out. There was a prophesy that a cow, human, with visions would travel there and change the world. The Groosalugg, a grossly deformed Pylean, was prophesied to comshuk with her, to take her visions and then take control of the government. As you know, I am The Groosalugg. I was never given a name as a child, but with my appearance and warrior capabilities, it is how I became to be known. I encountered Cordelia as she was made Princess of Pylea. I was instructed to comshuk with her, but she refused. She did not desire to rid herself of the visions."
Julie: I look at him in awe. "B...But why are you here?"
Groo: "Cordelia and her friends soon left Pylea, the government was left in my hands. I soon tired of the manipulations and politics of the situation and decided to find her. I believed I loved her," I say softly. "I travelled through a portal, going to Los Angeles to find her. I found her easily and we were together for a short time, however, I soon discovered that she and Angel were kyrumption. She loved him, and he her. I left and came to San Francisco."
Julie: "See!" I said looking at him "You will think that of me and leave me too."
Groo: I look at her, a bit confused. "I believe you misunderstood my point. What I meant was, I never felt for her the way I feel for you even know."
Julie: I shake my head "It...its just gas..it will pass." I said. the mos ludacris response ever.
Groo: "I do not understand your statement," I say, utterly confused.
Julie: "Nothing...just my random thoughts."
Groo: I chuckle and kiss her softly. "I enjoy your random thoughts."
Julie: "Umm ok." I said confused.
Groo: "You are humorous. It is one of the reasons I believe I adore you," I say. "So, do you believe me?" I ask gently.
Julie: "No" I say honestly. "I am not saying you are a liar, I just know how things will end up."
Groo: "Thank you for being honest. May I ask you a favor?"
Julie: "Ask anything."
Groo: "May I at least have the opportunity to show you how I feel?"
Julie: "W...What do you mean?" I ask
Groo: "I desire to show you, through my words and actions, that I adore you. I will not tire of you, nor will I ever believe you desire someone else, unless you tell me. I trust you, my sweet Julie," I explain.
Julie: "I...I do not understand." I tell him honestly.
Groo: I think for a moment, trying to discover a better way to express my emotions. "I desire to purchase gifts for you, to provide everything you need, to show you that your life is your own, to show you that my feelings for you are true and deep. I wish to prove to you that I am worthy of you."
Julie: "B...But I haven't earned that." I explain. "I haven't even earned the privaledge to eat." I can't believe I just said that outloud.
Groo: "My sweet Julie," I say softly, "You do not need to earn the priviledge to eat nor shower nor have someone care for you. Please, this is your life now."
Julie: "But i do" I said softly "I..I have to earn that priviledge."
Groo: "No," I say firmly. "You do not. If you feel you need permission, I give it to you. If you feel you need to be told, I will order you. However, you are an amazing woman who I care for and you do not need to earn the right to live as a human being," I look down into her eyes, hoping she will know I am being honest.
Julie: "I...I don't know...I..I just..." I said as I looked away "I can't change."
Groo: "Then allow me to assist you," I suggest softly.
Julie: I shake my head "I am who I am." I said firmly
Groo: "And I am who I am. I will not be easily detered," I say gently.
Julie: I nod "So be it."
Groo: I look down at her, so small in my arms. I kiss her forehead, then nose, then lips. "I adore you."
Julie: "Stop that" I said softly "If I get used to this it will just end."
Groo: "If you get used to what?" I ask, puzzled. "I am sorry, I thought it was all right for me to kiss you."
Julie: "If I get used to you...get used to loving you." Did I just say loving? I don't even know what it means, but...I..I think I feel it.
Groo: I blink, my breath catching in my chest at her words. "I do not think I will ever get used to the feeling of loving you," I say softly.
Julie: "Y..You heard that?"
Groo: I blush slightly. "I did. I also meant it."
Julie: I looked down my body trembling
Groo: I hold her close to me. "Do not be afraid, I will never harm you," I say gently. "I am quickly falling in love with you."
Julie: "I..I will be right back." I said not sure what I was going to do, but I needed away for a minute.
Groo: "Oh, all right," I say softly, knowing I have said something wrong. I sit her gently on the bed beside me, allowing her to get up.
Julie: "Groo" I whisper before I get up. "I am the messed up one not you." I said then grabbed some clothes out of the closet.
Groo: I watch her get dressed. "I only wish to show you what your life may be, if you choose," I say softly.
Julie: "My life is the way it is...it can't be changed. I will never be normal, never have peace." I walk out of the room tears in my eyes.
Groo: I jump off the bed, not expecting her to leave the room. I catch her arm at the top of the stairs and pull her to look at me. "Julie, please, I know it is hard to believe now, but your life will be only what you choose it to be. I wish to assist you in finding what you desire, in showing you that you may also be happy," I say, a tear slipping down my cheek.
Julie: "You have known me all of 24 hours...why do you care?"
Groo: I kneel down in front of her, holding her hands and kissing them softly before looking up at her. "Because you allow me to see you, the real you. I feel safe with you, accepted by you. You told me I have pretty eyes. You are beautiful, humorous, strong, courageous... Shall I continue?"
Julie: "No" I said turning away. "I...I dont deserve you." I said as I tried to run...but can't.
Groo: I stand as I pull her to me, not willing to allow her to go. "I believe it is I who do not deserve you. I only ask for the chance to show you."
Julie: "youre only going to find you wasted time."
Groo: "Julie, tell me you do not care for me," I say softly.
Julie: I turn away from him so I can better lie to him as the tears fall "I...I don't care...don't care for you."
Groo: I move around in front of her, lifting her chin and wiping her tears away. "I do not believe you. Even if it is the truth, however, I will not stop caring for you."
Julie: "There is nothing I can do to make you love someone else...someone more stable.?"
Groo: I brush her hair gently away from her face. "I am afraid I do not have a choice in the matter, it is what I feel. I love you, my sweet Julie."
Julie: "You deserve better."
Groo: "As do you."
Julie: "There is no better than you."
Groo: I blush, "I believe there is no better than you as well, my sweet Julie."
Julie: "There is...better, more pure, saner..."
Groo: I put my finger to her lips, shaking my head. "I love you. Please, do not put yourself down. I love you, my sweet Julie."
Julie: I shake my head "Only speaking truth."
Groo: "It is not the truth, it is only what you have been told. These are lies you have been fed, but it is not truth," I say softly.
Julie: "How do you know."
Groo: "Because I see you," I say, leaning in to kiss her.
Julie: I don't stop him, but I don't give anything back.
Groo: I pull away and look down, taking a deep breath. "I am sorry. Please, do not leave."
Julie: "May I have some time alone to think?"
Groo: I look up. "Of course. I shall go downstairs and clean the kitchen. I am afraid I left quite a mess. I will not disturb you."
Julie: "Not that kind of time. I..I am going for a walk...please don't follow, just give me time to think ok?"
Groo: "Are you certain?" I ask, only desiring to protect her.
Julie: "Yes." I said certain of my desires.
Groo: "As you wish. Please, take my cellular phone, it will make me feel better if you can call me if you desire," I say, pulling the small phone from my pocket and handing it to her.
Julie: I shake my head "I can call Tara or Leo faster." I said honestly
Groo: "Oh, I am sorry. You are correct," I put the phone back into my pocket. "I shall be here when you return."
Julie: "Thank you." I said as I walked out the front door.
Groo: "You are welcome," I say to the closed door. I turn and go to the kitchen, cleaning the mess. After it is clean, I walk upstairs and bring the tray down, putting the food away as well. I look around and do not find anything else to do. I walk into the main room, sitting on a couch to wait.
Julie: I walked down the street and watched as kids played in their yards and the kids in the local park that played with their parents...it was painful to watch.
Groo: I look up after several more minutes, deciding she has had ample time to think. I go upstairs and put on a shirt, quickly exiting the house. I stand for a moment, attempting to feel in which direction she went. I smile as I sense her, breaking into a steady run as I wish to catch up with her.
Julie: I found a quiet spot where I could see but not be seen as I watched the kids play and thought.
Groo: I slow my pace to a walk as I approach a park filled with children. I look closely at the ground, finding Julie's tracks amongst the others. I follow them, looking up to see her sitting alone on a bench. I lean against a tree and watch her.
Julie: I am almost angry he followed, but part of me expected it.
Groo: I see her look at me, face a bit angry. I walk to her, sitting down on the bench, looking at the children playing.
Julie: "Go away"
Groo: I shake my head. "I am enjoying the weather."
Julie: "you can't just leave me alone can you?"
Groo: I turn on the bench and look at her. "Do you truly wish me to go?"
Julie: "Yes" I said as I shook my head at the same time, it was totally involuntary. "Let me try that again...Yes" said again as I shook my head "Dammit"
Groo: I smile and look back out at the children playing, not moving from the bench. "As you wish."
Julie: "Groo...go away" I said firmly yet not really wanting it.
Groo: "I cannot. I will not allow you to push me away only because you are frightened. I will not leave you and seemingly prove to you that I will," I say softly.
Julie: "Just give up on me. I am not worth it."
Groo: I look at her again, gently grasping her hand. "I will not give up on you. You are worth every precious thing in all of the dimensions. You are the woman I am falling for, there is no one nor any thing that will change that."
Julie: "You are insane"
Groo: I smile and shrug. "Perhaps."
Julie: "Can you do me one favor though..."
Groo: I turn on the bench to look at her. "You may ask. As long as it will not cause you harm, I am certain I will agree."
Julie: "Can you when I ask you to let me have my space, actually let me have it in a way of not following me."
Groo: I blush and look down, appropriately sheepish at my actions. "I will do my best, my sweet Julie. I am only concerned for your wellbeing, both physical and mental."
Julie: "I promised you i wouldn't hurt myself and you still followed. Do you not trust me?"
Groo: I look at her, a bit confused. "I did not mean I was concerned you would harm yourself. I do trust you." I take both her hands and look into her eyes. "I do."
Julie: "Then why did you follow?"
Groo: "As I mentioned, I was concerned. I will depart if you prefer. I only wanted to be near you and be available if you desire to speak of your thoughts."
Julie: "When I want that I will find you. You have a cell phone, you are always close, I don't need you to follow always.." I said not wanting to sound horrible. "Its just...I havent had any time alone in 12 years..."
Groo: I lift her hand to my lips and kiss it softly. "I believe I understand. I will return to your home and wait. I will be there when you return, unless you prefer I am not."
Julie: "No, you don't understand." I said "I..I will need you a lot...just try and listen to what I say, instead of trying to constantly protect me." I said "I am not a damsel in distress....well not for the most part..."
Groo: I smile, "I believe you have discovered my weakness. I will attempt to truly listen to you and allow you, even provide a life of your own design." I reach up and tuck her blonde hair behind her ear. "I will need you a lot as well, I believe it is why something harming you is so frightening to me."
Julie: "Why do you need me? So you can have your daily helping of whine with your cheese?" I didn't think he would get that, but there was a chance he would.
Groo: I laugh, "I do not drink wine, sweet Julie."
Julie: and alas he didn't get it. "I meant do you enjoy listening to me whine."
Groo: "I enjoy listening to your words and thoughts. I do not feel as if you are whining. You have had a most difficult life and I am glad you do not try to pretend you are uneffected."
Julie: "Oh" I said "I...I need to think about all of this.." I said "Do you mind if I walk home alone?"
Groo: "I do not. Do you wish me to depart first? Or shall I wait till you call me to request I return?" I ask, honestly wanting her to decide. I do not mind either way.
Julie: "I..I am going to sit here for a bit longer."
Groo: I nod and lean over, kissing her gently on the cheek. "Shall I await you at your home? Or do you wish to be alone there as well?"
Julie: "You are overthinking this." I whisper "I am not asking you to get out of my life...as much as I would like to believe I need to be alone for eternity, I am just asking for some time to think."
Groo: "I understand that, my sweet Julie. I am only attempting to clarify what you desire from me."
Julie: "Take what I say at face value."
Groo: "I have. You expressed a desire to be alone, to walk to your home alone. I do not yet understand, however, what you need of me," I say softly. I am much better at battle than I am at understanding others.
Julie: "Patience...and not to run away screaming when it gets to be too much."
Groo: I smile kindly at her. "I will not run. I will be patient." I stand and kiss her forehead. "I will wait for you, patiently," I tease.
Julie: I smile "Thank you." I said softly
Groo: "You are welcome, my sweet Julie," I say, smiling as I turn from her and walk back toward her home.
Julie: I watched as he walked away and then started to cry. I was so lost and scared.
Groo: I pause as I hear her crying in the distance, forcing myself not to run to her and hold her. "You must respect her, you must trust her," I say to myself.
Julie: After about an hour of crying and walking I finally walked home. I didn't know what else to do, just wanted to give over to him and forget my past, let him protect me... but I couldn't do that.
Groo: I stand from the couch as I hear the door open, looking at her as she walks in. "Welcome home," I say gently, but make no move to go to her.
Julie: I don't stop myself when I walk to him and just hug him.
Groo: I am surprised as she wraps her body against mine, my arms enveloping her. I hold her against me, kissing her cheek softly.
Julie: "I...I need you." I whisper
Groo: "I am here, my sweet Julie," I say softly, holding her close. "Whatever you desire, I am here."
Julie: "I know" I whisper. "Thank you"
Groo: "Good," I say simply. I pick her up, sitting down on the couch with her on my lap. "I adore you, I am glad you returned. I missed you."
Julie: I smile "You always miss me."
Groo: I smile and kiss her softly. "You are correct."
Julie: "I..I love you." I whisper as my body trembles.
Groo: I feel a smile spread across my face. "Then I am the luckiest man ever to live, my sweet Julie. I love you, as well."
Julie: "You are insane...but ok."
Groo: I laugh, "I am beginning to believe that to be a compliment from your lips."
Julie: "It isn't." I said with a smile.
Groo: I chuckle. "Well, I suppose I shall have to convince you I am not insane then, won't I?"
Julie: "You won't be able to convice me of anything like that."
Groo: I laugh and kiss her gently. "Perhaps I will not be able to, as long as you do not mind someone insane loving you, I do not mind being viewed as such."
Julie: "Really now?" I ask as I melt into the chair nearest us. "M..May I ask you something."
Groo: "Of course, my sweet Julie, I expressed to you that you may ask me anything you desire."
Julie: "Y..You told me that your parents never gave you a name...have you ever wanted one?"
Groo: I look at her for a moment, considering the question. "I have honestly never given it any thought. I have been The Groosalugg since my adolescence."
Julie: "O--Oh" I said softly as I leaned against him. "Just wanted to ask."
Groo: I wrap my arm around her, stroking her hair softly. "Do you think I should?"
Julie: "I think you should do what you want."
Groo: "I believe you should as well," I say with a smile. "Do you believe my name is odd or offputting?" I ask gently.
Julie: "A lot of people look at you funny...but Don't do anything because of that."
Groo: I chuckle, "I am unconcerned with how people look at me. I am used to being looked at as different. However, I would not be opposed to suggestions."
Julie: "What do you mean?"
Groo: "I would not be opposed to suggestions for a more appropriate name, my sweet Julie."
Julie: "I..I don't have any." I admit "I..just wanted to ask."
Groo: I smile at her. "Perhaps it is something to consider in the future then, I would enjoy your assistance. It is an interesting consideration and I value your thoughts."
Julie: "You speak funny" I say softly
Groo: "I do?" I ask, not understanding her meaning.
Julie: "You are so proper...its just different." I said "I wasn't insulting you" I add quickly for fear of being hurt.
Groo: "I did not take it as an insult, my sweet Julie. It is merely that no one has pointed this out to me before."
Julie: I nod "Ok" I let out a sigh of relief.
Groo: "Do you desire to do anything specific today?" I ask her softly.
Julie: I shake my head "Leaving the house was hard enough."
Groo: "I am proud of you," I say softly. "It took a great amount of courage."
Julie: "No, I was just trying to get away from you." I admit sheepishly. "I don't mean that as a insult...I...I just..I'm sorry."
Groo: I look down at her, concerned. "Did I do something to make you uncomfortable?"
Julie: "You just...You are so protective...I felt smothered...but we already talked about that at the park."
Groo: "I understand," I say. I look down at her, "I believe I desire some food. It has been quite some time since our last meal."
Julie: "I'm not hungry, but I could make you something." I say as I stand up.
Groo: "No," I say, pulling her back down with me. "You do not need to serve me, my sweet Julie."
Julie: "I want to." I said softly "I don't mind cooking."
Groo: I smile and kiss her softly. "Very well, but only if you will attempt to eat with me. It is important to me that you are not hungry. There is no need, my sweet."
Julie: "I am not hungry though." I say honestly.
Groo: "I understand the feeling. When you are not accustomed to eating at regular intervals, it is difficult to eat when it is available. I shall accompany you to the kitchen, I can assist you."
Julie: I shake my head "Go do something else. I am going to cook..."
Groo: I look around. "I suppose I could shower. I do not know anything else I would be useful for here."
Julie: I look at him my eyes meeting his. "Take a shower, go for a walk, stand on one toe...the last one is a complete joke...."
Groo: I chuckle and stand. "I am glad because, as you know, Pylean warriors are trained for much endurance, but that is not something that is taught."
Julie: "Go" I say as I point to the door.
Groo: I bow dramatically. "As you wish, my sweet Julie," I say, kissing her hand as I depart. I go up the stairs and into the bedroom, disrobing as I walk to the shower. I turn the water on and step in, letting the warmth cover me.
Julie: I cook a man sized meal, and set it out and wait for him to come back. I wasn't going to eat, but I prayed he would like it.
Groo: I step out of the shower, inhaling deeply of the delicious smells coming from the kitchen. I dry off and quickly dress, buttoning my shirt as I walk down the stairs. I look at the table where she is sitting, the surface of the table crowded with items. I walk up to her, and kneel in front of her. "This is amazing, my sweet Julie."
Julie: I stand and wait for him to sit down. "I hope you like it. "
Groo: I stand and take a seat at the table. "I am certain I will."
Julie: "Good." I said "Did you want Water, Juice..a coke?"
Groo: "Water would be pleasant," I answer, watching her as she walks into the kitchen, then returns with a glass of cool water. "Thank you, my sweet Julie. Please, sit with me?" I ask gently.
Julie: "I'm fine." I said
Groo: I look up at her, "I am certain you are, but I desire your company. Please sit with me."
Julie: "May I please stand?" I ask not comfortable sitting while he ate.
Groo: I reach for her hand, pulling her gently onto my lap. "No, you may not," I say, kissing her softly.
Julie: "Did you just say no to me?" I asked shocked at that. "You never say no."
Groo: I chuckle softly. "I believe I did. I only want what is best for you and I am discovering that sometimes no is the best. I hope that makes sense."
Julie: "I trust you." I say softly "But I am not hungry."
Groo: "I know you are not hungry. I do not wish you to eat an entire meal, only a few bites of protein," I say as I serve a plate for myself and pull it to us.
Julie: "I don't want any." I repeat.
Groo: I nod and begin to eat. "This is quite delicious, I believe it is the best meal I have had."
Julie: "Then you haven't had much."
Groo: I chuckle. "You forget, I was left to find my own food at quite a young age. It took me some time to discover that cooking meat made it easier to consume."
Julie: "Ok eww" I say before I think "Sorry so sorry, I shouldn't have..." I said in a panic.
Groo: I laugh and kiss her gently. "No, you are correct, it is quite repungent. I do not recommend it." I offer her a small bite of food. "Please, all I ask is three bites."
Julie: I shake my head "No thank you." I said
Groo: I look at her, "I do not wish to force you, but it is important that you eat."
Julie: "Why is it so important?" I ask trying to distract.
Groo: I smile at her, "You cannot distract me with questions you already have the answer to, my sweet Julie."
Julie: "I want to know...why is it so important?"
Groo: I put the fork down and touch her face softly. "Because I wish you to be strong, to have as normal a life as possible. I have gone without food, there is no shame in that, however, there is no reason to go without when it is available," I explain gently.
Julie: "I am not going without, I am just not hungry." I say innocently.
Groo: "I am afraid I do not believe you, my sweet Julie. Please, understand, no bad will come of this. I only desire the best for you."
Julie: I sigh "I am not lying. I am simply not hungry." I say getting up.
Groo: I pull her back onto my lap. "If you are not going without, why not appease me?" I ask, attempting a different tactic.
Julie: "Because." I say "I...Am....Not....Hungry." Said very pointedly
Groo: I mimic her cadence and tone. "I... Do... Not... Care. I need you to eat. I will not allow you to not, whether or not you are hungry."
Julie: My eyes widen "W...Why are you doing this?"
Groo: "Because I love you, my sweet Julie. Is it not obvious?"
Julie: "Didn't say it wasnt."
Groo: I pick up the fork again, holding it up to her. "Then eat, my sweet Julie."
Julie: I shake my head "I am not hungry." I said again trying to stand up once more.
Groo: I do not release my grip on her. "I understand you do not feel physically hungry, but I will not let this go."
Julie: "Why not?" I ask oddly not frightened by his assertion of power.
Groo: "Because I believe it is best for you. As I have expressed, I only want what will make you healthy and strong. I love you and will not allow harm to come to you if it can be prevented," I say tenderly.
Julie: "I am not going to force myself to eat if I am not hungry." I said honestly
Groo: I look into her eyes, speaking softly. "I do not wish to force you, either, however, I will if need be." I want her to understand it is not a threat, only that it is of utmost importance to me.
Julie: "And I am telling you that I am not hungry." I repeat. "Why can't you let that go? I will eat when I am ready to."
Groo: "I am telling you that I am unconcerned if you are hungry. I am fairly certain you will not be prepared to eat for some time. You are quite adamant," I say gently.
Julie: "And I am saying that I have lived like that for 12 years and it hasn't hurt me yet, so please let it go."
Groo: "I will not. There is no need for you to live like that any longer."
Julie: "If I want to live that way it is my choice." I said and as I was about to say more he shoves a bite of food. I didn't want to eat, and he couldn't make me so I spit it back out on him then felt terrible, but I was standing my ground.
Groo: I blink as she spits the food on me, wiping it from my face. "If I believed you were making that choice, I would allow it. I do not feel you are, however." I pick up another bite of food and press her chin down, forcing her mouth open as I put it into her mouth.
Julie: I spit the food out again. "I am not hungry, I won't eat." I said again still feeling bad "And..I'm sorry."
Groo: I look gently at her. "I have no where else to be, we can do this all day if you desire." I force the food into her mouth again, putting my hand over her mouth to prevent her from spitting it out again.
Julie: Dammit, now i can't spit it out...but I also don't have to chew or swallow. I just hold it in my mouth as I squirm free and spit out again.
Groo: I obviously need to try a different tactic. I use the fork to smash the eggs, making them very soft and scooping it up with a spoon. I place the soft eggs into her mouth and cover it tightly with my hand. She will either eat them or hold them in her mouth until she reflexively swallows.
Julie: I finally decide that if I do one bite he will let this go. I swallow the eggs and pull back. "Happy now?" I said as I again tried to get up.
Groo: I hold her tight and shake my head. "I believe I said three bites before," I say, offering her a large bite of sausage.
Julie: "Please...I ate one bite..please just let me go." I pleaded as my arm was starting to hurt.
Groo: I adjust my hold on her, cradling her back. "I am sorry, I will not. Two more and I will drop it for now, I promise."
Julie: a tear fell "Please....I..I promise I will try more later, please don't."
Groo: I wipe the tear from her cheek, kissing her gently. "Tell me when, give me a time, and I will drop it."
Julie: "I don't know. Why can't you just take my word for it?" I ask my eyes pleading with him.
Groo: "My sweet Julie," I say softly, "I only want what is best for you. I am only concerned for you, you are the woman I love. Will you agree to try again in a couple of hours?"
Julie: "Yes..if it will get you to back off...and I will clean up the mess I made."
Groo: "That is not good enough, I need your word."
Julie: "I just said I would, what more do you want? me to sign in blood? "
Groo: I sigh softly, "Very well, I trust you, my sweet Julie." I stand and stand her up with me.
Julie: I pull away from him and go about cleaning up my mess.
Groo: I walk into the kitchen and wash my face, cleaning the food from it. After she has finished cleaning, I wrap my arms around her from behind, kissing her neck softly. "Thank you, my sweet Julie."
Julie: I pull away. "I need to go shower...or...something." I said
Groo: "Oh, um, all right," I say, stepping away from her. I am uncertain of what to do.
Julie: I sulk away to one of the empty rooms closing and locking the door. I need some time alone. After about twenty minutes of sitting in the locked room I decided I needed some air. Luckily the room I chose had a patio door to it so I slinked out the door and silently shut it behind me before walking out onto the street...where should I go now?
Groo: Approximately an hour has passed and Julie has still not returned. I begin to be concerned and decide to go to her. I look in her room, but she is not there. I search the other rooms, but there is no trace of her. My first instinct is to find her, I fear she may be in trouble, but then I recall our conversation. "You must trust her," I say to myself and return to the living room. I turn on the television and watch it absently. There is nothing of interest, but it is better than worrying.
