Things are coming along nicely here. The slayer school is almost to capacity, the watchers finally trained, even Dawn. Buffy is finally getting used to the fact that she is a watcher. She may not be thrilled with the decision I made, but she sees that it was the proper one

Things have been weird between me and Giles ever since he made Dawn a watcher without even asking me first. I'm not mad at him anymore. But I'm not happy with him either. And Spike makes it easy to avoid everyone and everything. He just sucks the motivation right out of me. Why would I meet with Giles when I could stay with Spike and have totally amazing sex? It's a no brainer.

But I knew I would have to come back to reality and some point. And that point is today while Spike is dying his hair.

I knocked on his partially opened office door and slipped inside. "Hey, Giles."

I was shocked when I heard her voice "Buffy?" I ask wondering if she had any clue that I was pondering ways to break down the walls she has built between us.

"What can I do for you?" I ask trying to hide the shock in my voice. She had to know that I wouldn't have expected this, and perhaps that is the reason she came by in the first place.

I walk into his office and make myself comfortable in the chair in front of his desk.

"I didn't really come for a reason, just to say hi. I've been getting the feeling that you wanted to talk to me about something?"

I sigh

"I would like to talk to you..however I don't feel you would like what I have to say." I said simply. It wasn't just the Dawn situation, it was her time spent constantly with Spike and not helping with training and neglecting her duties as a slayer.

I don't believe she understands that despite the new rise in slayers, she still has duties and she can't ignore her calling.
