They had put me in with two Watchers and I wasn't sure what to think at first, in fact I was still a bit wary of everyone but Willow tried so much to make me feel comfortable. She explained to Christine and Kit and what had happened and they gave me money to go and buy my own food and I got my own room like Willow told me I would

I did remember walking through a park though and figured that there's at least grass there and I can just sit and eat in peace.
I grabbed my bag of food and walked back towards the park I had saw and realized that there was actually a lot of people out, playing frisbee, catch, and just sitting there. I spotted a picnic table and quickly walked towards it. I hadn't noticed the girl sitting on the other side until after I walked around the tree.
My stomach started grumbling again, I was starving...I looked at the ground, which happened to have an ant pile, so that definitly wasn't going to happen and then to the girl. Here goes nothing.
"Excuse me Miss, is someone sitting here?" I asked nodding towards the opposite side of the bench. "Or more importantly do you mind if I join you?"
Reply
"No one is sitting there, but sure sit down if you want to."
He seemed polite enough maybe I was losing my sanity or something I should just losen up and take things as they come. My gut feelings though half the time often told me who I could trust and who I couldn't but now I was dubious and doubtful of some people and yet Paige who I never had met before I trusted almost right off. Maybe it was because she had babies with her and I just couldn't see her hurting anyone. Or maybe my gut feeling was working that time without me realising.
I smiled awkwardly back at the other and continued eating my food, but brought my drink closer back to me and took a sip before placing it down right beside me.

"Thanks, I didn't really want to share my food with the angry ant pile over there." I said nodding my head in their general direction.
I pulled my sub out of the bag and unfolded it and began to eat it. After I swalloed and took a drink. I realized that I was being rude, I hadn't even introduced myself.
"I'm sorry, I seem to have lost my manners." I said with a slight smile. "My name is Alec." I said, I didn't want to appear to be rude, but I also didn't want to scare her.

I laughed softly when he said he didn't want to share his food with the ant pile and took another bite of my sandwich.
"Yeh I don't think they'd appreciate being taunted with your yummy subway."
Smiling softly I took a sip of my drink before I replied, "Flic. It's nice to meet you Alec. Ever been in this area before?"

As I was walking away she said something, I turned and looked at her with a smile. I turned around and walked towards the table.
"Well in that case, I guess I shall keep you company, I don't know anyone else either." I said with a smile.
"So I would ask you if you wanted to grab something to eat, but since we both already ate...guess that defeats the purpose." I said with a chuckle.
"Would you like a cup of coffee or something? I think I saw a coffee shop a few blocks over, and it would help pass the time, and we could get to know each other." Assuming you want too get to know me.

I hesitated a moment unsure about going off with him but he only wanted to be friends, I didn't get an uneasy feeling from him but then again he seemed to be trying his best to make me feel comfortable and maybe I should suspect his motives but I just... didn't.
"I'd like to go for a coffee, but would it be okay if we stayed near this area because I know my way back from here. Whereas anywhere else I don't really know where I am."
I placed the bits that I had picked off the styrofoam cup back into the base of it where it was empty and stood. "I could show you where I got my lunch from that I also go my drink from as well? It was quite crowded when I went in there earlier but it might have cleared a bit now."
I picked up my rubbish and then walked over to the nearest waste bin and put it in. I had my purse on my inside pocket and I waited for his answer just hoping he didn't think I was deliberately being rude or anything.

"Coffee sounds excellent. As for staying around here, that's also a good idea, because well...I'm a guy and I'm too stubborn to ask for directions so we could be walking around for hours, but remember...I'm new here too, so it makes us even. Hopefully we don't get too lost." I said with a smile.
"Off we shall go" I said about us going back to the place where she had gotten her food. It was a good plan and a good start, now I just had to follow her lead.
The good news is she wasn't a litterbug, that was definitly a plus. I walked towards her, "Ladies first" I said, following her. Once we had reached our destination I opened the door and follower her in. It was a nice cozy place, not obnoxious like the other restaurants I had seen while I was walking around.
I walked towards the counter with her. "Order anything you want...it's on me, Flic" I said with a smile as I reached into my back pocket and grabbed my wallet. I ( ... )

"That's cool, so college student?" I asked. I've always wanted to go to college and have a real future, not running the "family bussiness." But I wouldn't change it for the world.
"My work...I'm a uhh...collector?" I said with a slight grin. "Well it's actually complicated...I sort of teach martial arts...and help fight crime?" It was true...I did fight crime and sometimes teach martial arts.

"No not exactly, I'm going to a sort of... private school. And a collector? That's impressive what sort of things do you collect?" I listened to him when he spoke and decided that I liked his accent, it was different and it was nice, in a way it was relaxing. "You teach martial arts AND help fight crime? Remind me to have you around if ever a fight starts up."
I chuckled slightly and took a little more of a confident sip from my orange.

"I uhh...guess that collector was the wrong word...I'm more of a fight crime kind of guy" I said, pulling at my collar. I didn't want to blow my cover or risk freaking Flic off. "Well...I'm sure that you wouldn't be in a fight, but consider yourself with an ally" I said with a smirk. I'm sure this girl has caused lots of fights between boys, but I'd seriously have to injure whoever hit her. "Well, I'm pretty sure any guy would help you out, because hitting a girl is just wrong...on a hell of a lot of different levels" I said drinking more of my smoothie.
"So what are you majoring in at school?" I asked. College life has always intrigued me.

I laughed when he spoke about me being either smart or a trouble maker and coming to the conclusion that he thought I was smart. That was a compliment I hadn't had from any other person for a long while. "You'd be surprised, though I did keep to myself a lot at my old school. I ended up having a few words with one of the so called 'popular' girls who has always hated me even though we used to be friends when we were younger. I kind of ended up hitting her and that was kind of like a big mistake. Wasn't at that school much longer either."
I thought a moment, okay so I didn't really know if this Slayer school thing was going to teach me any subjects but I used to enjoy my classes in England so it wouldn't exactly be lieing.
"Computer Sciences and Biology. The school isn't actually far from here and it's all girls... again. I'm not sure if I should just get used to that or run away screaming." I laughed again. "Though the screaming factor might not come into it but anyway."

"Yeah, that'd be cool, I'm sure that the school know's lots of people or places around here." I said with a smile.
Then she was talking about leaving.
"I'm sure that someone is missing you and has set off a panic alarm and everyone's looking for you." I said with a smile.
"And yeah, I'll walk you back, don't want trouble following you around." I said teasinly. "I'll do my best to make sure that you make it back to your place safe and sound." I said as I got up and threw away our drinks and then opened the door for her and followed her out.

I laughed softly when he pretended to check off the no visuals in his head and I walked outside and waited for him and when he appeared again began walking in the direction of the school.
It didn't take long to get back to it, to anyone else really it would have just seemed like a housing area, it wasn't actually advertised that it was a school because well because it wasn't a normal school, it was a school for Slayers and people weren't supposed to know that. I stopped near to where I shared the house with Kit and Christine and looked back at Alec.
"This is my stop and it looks like we both got here without trouble following us all the way either." I laughed then. "I'll speak with someone about trying to find you a place to teach martial arts, that is whenever I see you again. Do you live far from here?"
Reply
"Holy Jesus Christ..." I said...she was joking right?! "You're joking right? You go to school here?! This is where I live. Or rather where I'm about to start living." I said looking at her surprised.
So that means that you're a slayer?
"Wow...this isn't awkward at all." I said, tugging at my collar. "Wow...so what are the chances of that?" I asked.

He practically freaked out and first and all I could do was laugh a little as well, I was finding this all kind of amusing in a way.
"That's kind of... that's just funny. Um... it's not every day that these things happen and well it's not an every day thing to hear one day that you're... yeh anyway... bet this doesn't happen to ordinary people."
I laughed again not quite sure why I was finding this funny, but I just was.
