Talk about busy night. I was looking forward to sleeping and spending time with the boys and Piper. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about being an elder, I just want some time with my family, especially since I haven't always been around for them. That's going to change now. After leaving Makayla I orbed back to the Manor and grabbed my keys and ( Read more... )

I awoke to the smell of breakfast as if it were right in front of me. I figured I was dreaming in smellovision, because neither Phoebe nor Paige was here, and unless one of my sons developed a cooking power overnight, there was no one left to cook but me.

I slowly opened my eyes, the smell of breakfast not going away and as my eyes focused, I saw a breakfast tray on the nightstand and then Leo in the chair by the window. So he's the mystery chef. And nothing smells burned, either. Of course, there's nothing on the tray that could be burned since nothing was actually cooked. I couldn't help but smile at him.

"Is all that for me?" I asked him as I started to sit up. "You didn't have to do this, you know." It was so sweet that he had done this. I was surprised and happy to see us have time together again, even if it's early in the morning before the boys wake up, which will be any moment now I'm sure.

I hadn't even noticed her waking up, but heard her voice. I turned my head and smiled at her as I walked over and kissed her on the forehead, "Good morning." I said before sitting down.

"Yes, it's all for you. I tried making eggs and toast, but there's a reason that you're the chef and not me." I said with a chuckle. I gave her a smile and looked at her, this was the woman I loved more than anything else.

"I figured it was the least I could do, you're always cooking and busy and with the way everything has been lately, I just wanted to take some of the stress off." I said.

I heard Chris start to fuss, "Hold that thought." I said as I walked into the nursery and saw Wyatt fast asleep still.

"Chris, don't wake your brother." I said as I picked him up and then walked back into our room.

I sat down next to Piper, "Sorry about burning you're food and having to just bring a bagel and cereal up." I said with another laugh. I rocked Chris back and forth.

I couldn't help but smile as I watched Leo with Chris. I missed this so much. I wanted it to happen more often. For the rest of my life.

"Oh, no, don't worry about that, it's the thought that counts. And you were obviously thinking about me. I was thinking about you too. Well, dreaming about you." I yawned and stretched.

I reached over for the tray, placing it in my lap. "So...this could become a normal thing, right? Because, I could get used to be spoiled like this every morning."

I grinned at him as I picked up the bagel and start spreading cream cheese on it. I really did want this work, I needed him here more than he could know.

"Well yeah, it's the thought, sorry I'm not so much of a chef; that's why I married you" I said teasingly. I rocked Chris back and forth, trying to get him to relax..."It's ok Chris, daddy's here." I said to him, not that he understood, but still.

"Well, eventually I'll get brave again and actually spoil you and cook something, but yes...it could quite possibly become a normal thing...bed in breakfast, and time with the family...our family." I said as I leaned over and kissed her forehead.

"I love you." I said as I watched her eat her bagel. She wasn't even complaining about my lack of abilities to bring a real breakfast to our bed...she was perfectly happy with what I gave her.

She could have so much more...and yet, she is here with me. I love this woman.
