Summary: Yunho was going home from walk when a huge white bear attacked him, Yunho got furious, but that vanished when he met the owner of what turned out to be a huge, white dog.
Yunho had just finished working for the day, his days got longer and longer since his boss, Park Yoochun, had sent most of the workers off for a 2 weeks vacation since it was Christmas.
Working in a cafe shop in busy Seoul was tough, but he'd survive.
Or Yunho could take that back now, because he was sure that the huge white bear who was flying towards him had other intentions than keeping Yunho alive so he could go to work the next day and rot.
Yunho was sure he screamed like a girl, he turned around and began running away from the bear, but the bear was faster and jumped, and then landed on top of Yunho on the ground.
Yunho's face was buried in the snow, he could feel a wet tongue lick his cheeks. Yunho lifted his head and tried to get up, but the bear was too heavy.
He heard footsteps approaching and looked to see a guy, about his age running towards them.
“VICK! What the hell?! Jumping on the neighbor like that! Get off him!” The guy said and began to drag the bear of him. In the end it worked and the guy pulled Yunho up from the ground, then began brushing snow off Yunho's clothes.
“I'm so sorry! Vick just saw you going down the road then he ran after you, I don't know what got over him, but I'm truly sorry” He said.
“Hey, it's alright, Taepoong does that all the time” Yunho said and the guy smiled.
“Taepoong?” He asked with a smile on his face.
“Yeah, my dog. My name is Jung Yunho, it's a pleasure to meet you” Yunho said and bowed a little.
“I'm Jaejoong, Kim Jaejoong. And this is Vick” Jaejoong said and gestured to the bear.
“I still don't understand why you have a bear here” Yunho said and looked closer at the supposed to be, bear.
“Ohh no, it's a dog. He's just a bit big, I think I fed him too much” Jaejoong said and patted the dogs head.
“Give him a little less food then, I need to go now, I'm sure we'll meet later” Yunho said and waved goodbye to Jaejoong.
The rest of the day went by with Yunho never forgetting the face of his neighbor, and the other way around.
Next day:
Yunho woke up too early for his liking, Taepoong was still asleep on his side.
“My little boyfriend, wakey wakey!” Yunho said and tickled Taepoong behind his ears. The dogs eyes snapped open and his head turned over to look at Yunho, anger showing in his eyes, Yunho pouted.
“Stop acting like Changmin, that's so not cute, I'll eat you now” Yunho said and bit the dogs ear, the dog yelped and ran out of the bedroom, while Yunho laid on the bed, laughing like a maniac.
After he finished failing on the bed, he prepared himself for a long day at work.
When he finally got out the door his dog, Taepoong, decided that he wanted to join Yunho to work.
Before you ask, yes, they could bring their dogs, Yoochun had built a dog yard behind the cafe, since he himself had a dog.
“Vick! You stupid dog! Come here!” And Yunho saw his new neighbor run down from his house in only a pajamas.
Yunho stood there, feet rooted to the ground, and then someone jumped on him, and everything became white.
Yunho felt someone lick his face this time, then the object on top of him was removed and someone helped Yunho up.
“Aish again, I'm sorry Yunho-shi, I think my dog has fallen for your handsome looks” Jaejoong chuckled and Yunho looked shocked.
“Your dog has fallen for me? Aigoo, something must be wrong with me if dogs like me” Yunho said and looked at the white bear who now sat comfortably at Yunho's feet.
Yunho looked around for Taepoong but couldn't see him anywhere.
“Have you seen Taepoong? He was here 3 seconds ago” Yunho asked and Jaejoong poked him on the shoulder and pointed to the other side of the road.
There stood Changmin with his dog, Mang Dong, and tried to kick Taepoong away from her.
“Get away from my Mang Dong you stupid thing, go eat the cats in the park” Changmin barked and Taepoong ran away from him. Then Changmin turned to Yunho and smiled, then ran over the road and stopped beside Yunho, only to jump back when he saw Vick.
“Ohh god, I toughed it was a bear” Changmin laughed and bent down to let his dog down on the ground.
“Ohh, hello, I'm Shim Changmin, this idiotic guys best and most sexy friend and if I might say, I'm smart, the only one of his friends who actually has a brain” Changmin said and held out his hand to Jaejoong.
Jaejoong took the hand and shook it. “I'm Kim Jaejoong, Yunho-shi's new neighbor, your dog might have fallen for Vick, but Vick already has a crush” Jaejoong said and pointed at the dogs by their feet.
“Who does Vick have a crush on?” Changmin asked and Yunho wanted to die.
“He has a crush on Yunho-shi here” Jaejoong smiled and Changmin laughed like a crazy hyena.
“Not only does he have all the girls in Seoul on his feet, now he has a guy! A DOG! HAHAHAHA!” Changmin fell to the ground laughing.
“Stop it Min, you're embarrassing me” Yunho said and pouted. Changmin collected himself, then looked at the time.
“Ohh, we're late again Yun, better stop the small talk, see you Jaejoong Hyung” Changmin said and walked slowly down the road, Mang Dong right behind him.
“I'm sorry you had to meet my friend, he's always been like that, but like he said, we're late, so I think I have to run” Yunho said and looked for Taepoong and found him waiting a little down the road.
“Well, I'll see you later then” Jaejoong said and waved after Yunho, he might have fallen for the tall, handsome man he had just met, but it was the other way around too.
“And then he told me that his dog, Vick, had a crush on Yunho!” Changmin was telling Yoochun, Junsu and Heechul about when they met Jaejoong that morning.
“The dog had a crush on Yunho? Did the owner also have a crush on him also?” Heechul asked.
“Ohh, good question, well, he was blushing, so I guess he has a crush on Yunho” Changmin said and eyed Yunho who was serving a customer.
“Who wouldn't have crush on Jung sex-on-legs Yunho?” Yoochun asked and slapped Yunho on the butt when he walked past them, Yunho just shot Yoochun a angry stare.
The 4 of them continued their little gossip club and Yunho walked behind the counter.
The bell rang, signaling a new customer had arrived.
“Welcome!” Yunho said and the person walked up to him.
“Yunho-shi! You work here?” And Yunho looked up and saw Jaejoong.
“Ohh, yes I do, it's nice seeing you here” Yunho said and Jaejoong smiled.
“I want a Cappuccino please” Jaejoong smiled and Yunho fixed him one, Jaejoong paid.
“So, how is work?” Jaejoong asked and took a sip of his cappuccino and made a shocked face and said “Fabulous!”
“Thanks! Work is fine, except from being molested, everything is completely fine” Yunho said and chuckled when Yoochun sent him daggers.
“Wow, you have a interesting life Yunho-shi!” Jaejoong said and smiled brightly, Yunho began thinking that he needed a pair of sun glasses if Jaejoong was going to smile all the time.
“Well... Do you have a job Jaejoong-shi?” Yunho asked and leaned on the counter, looking straight at Jaejoong.
“Well, I'm a photographer, but I'm currently having some time off” Jaejoong smiled. “You should try being my model once Yunho-shi”.
“Model? Me? I don't think my looks reach that high” Yunho pouted.
“Dare I say it? Yes, you're probably the most good-looking guy I've seen the past 5 years” Jaejoong laughed and Yunho smiled.
“Flirty, aren't we? If I didn't know better I would have thought you were hitting on me Jaejoong-shi” Yunho teased and Jaejoong blushed.
“What would you say if I was hitting on you?” Jaejoong asked.
“I would probably tell you that you and your dog has a insane connection of you're crushing on the same person” And Jaejoong began laughing his melodic laugh.
Yunho could hear Changmin snickering in the background. Yoochun smirked, Heechul was fixing his hair, pretending he didn't hear anything, while Junsu sat there and played on his phone, probably angry birds again.
“Ohh, Yunho-shi, I think you're right” Jaejoong said and straightened his suit, that Yunho hadn't noticed he was wearing.
“We could cut the -shi? Right?” Yunho asked and Jaejoong nodded and sent one of his bright smiles again. I seriously need a pair of sun glasses.
“Going somewhere formal?” Yunho asked and pointed at the suit.
“Well, no, I just thought I was going to make a good impression on you and invite you out for a walk in the park, what do you say?” Jaejoong asked and looked with a hopeful look at Yunho.
“I'd love too, those idiots can work my shift anyways, just let me get my coat”
The walk in the park was lovely, they talked about everything to nothing, Taepoong strolling lazily behind them. When they reached back to their houses again, the sky was slowly becoming darker.
“This was nice” Yunho said and smiled. He hadn't realized when they had held hands, but he was sure they were holding hands now.
“I guess we'll see each other tomorrow?” Jaejoong asked as he looked at Yunho.
“Yes, of course” Yunho said and Jaejoong smiled his bright smile again. I'll get Min to buy those sun glasses for me now.
Before Yunho had the chance to walk away Jaejoong had dragged him back and planted a kiss on his lips.
This was how their love story started, a simple kiss in front of their houses, in the middle of December.
