Rach called me, they announced it at a meeting this morning. Custom closes in 2 weeks and they can't take any more orders.

Really? That's a bummer.

On a positive note, however, I wonder what the going-out-of-business sales will be like.

Pretty awesome from what I can tell. Inventory Reduction Sale will start soon, then 60 days of Going Out Of Business. Employee discounts will stack.

Sweet. Will you be taking orders? :)

Or for that matter, I should be ashore by October. I'll have to come on a raid. What's the store got in terms of linen & wool?

Wool? Mostly left over from last year. Linen? A bunch of non-period colors last time I looked right before Pennsic.

Well, from all the stories you've told this is hardly surprising. It is more surprising that they didn't collapse sooner, it seems like management kept trying to shoot themselves in the foot but were too inept to aim properly. Statistically they were likely to finally hit their foot sometime.

How goes the job search? Will you and Rachael be OK? And the selfish question, does this change your desire to rent my house?

All plans we had to rent the house are on hold I think. Since my department really shuts down in two weeks since I'm mostly in Custom.

I wish it were different, and I'm going on a bunch of interviews, but for now I can't say anything for certain.
