The Basically Comprehensive List In Answer To Izzy and Karin's

Mar 29, 2008 02:28

Since the fair Irish Princess, among others, have been asking if one would be done, what could Monty and I do but to acquiesce? I would like to state for the record that none of this is meant insultingly. All love can be sent towards Montgomery Flint and Cadoc Phillips. Marriage proposals and death threats can be directed towards yours truly only ( Read more... )

SECOND PLACE MERLIN'S TROUSERS - this is very embarrassing yet flattering at the same time - oh Godric -

You two were much nicer than Karin and I were. It makes me feel a wee bit guilty. But thank you for all the lovely things said my way! See Amity, it pays to be nice. It's just as well you can't see me - I'm the colour of my house's Quidditch robes right now! But yay - second place!

Why in the world would you have any reason to feel guilty, princess? It's just a matter of expressing my opinion, and noting down Monty's opinion as well. I would like to think that it is genuine on both our parts, and on yours, very well deserved.

And do forgive me for contradicting you, but I'm sure you look very fetching in that colour.

Well, thank you for that. It's very flattering considering that I have some very pretty classmates who aren't bad people either.

Red is my favourite colour. It won't quite lead to communism though, which is what Jasper may be hoping.

You are very welcome. It would be very petty and simplistic if we did this ONLY based on appearance, wouldn't it? I don't think I personally could date a girl who is unappealing in temperament regardless of how she looked. Not to mention, we Ravenclaws have some sort of reputation (ill-deserved or not) of being thinkers, so we must endeavour to maintain that.

You look very pretty in it too.

I do not understand how anyone can enjoy patroling or give me a 9/10. And Montgomery, paradoxically you may find that if you take the time to organize yourself, you will have more of it on your hands.

I find patrols to be a nice change of pace from sitting still in one place, and it's a good chance to think things over. Besides, as I see it, it's better just to make the best of anything I have to do-- and surprisingly when I do that I find more to like about the tasks.

It is cold and draughty and takes time away from our studies. It would also be completely unnecessary if people did as they were told.

I'll remember to bring you a spare cloak. I find that while it takes up a few hours' time, a walk typically clears my mind, and I study better afterwards. Also, if people did as they were told all the time, no new discoveries would ever be made, as complacency would negate the notion.

This is the Muggle Studies journal equivalent of candy floss. I'm off to go brush my teeth now.

You would not consider the majority of Hogwartians to be dateable, no?

I didn't want to write this where everyone could read it in case I seemed boastful, but I'm right chuffed about this! It made my week.

I know! I've been giggling all morning since I read it, and my step-mum actually came up to see what all the fuss was about. That was so nice of them! I have to think of something nice to do for them now!
