That's comforting to know.

I'm glad you're of that opinion. Otherwise... well, you'd probably be offended and there'd really not be too much you could do about the situation.

Congratulations, by the way. I suppose I'm to be one of your minions, as it were, so feel free to ask things and all that.

Valid point. And thank you for your co-operation.

No problem, and good luck.

Five of them don't find Professor Spinnet pretty?

If you were that small all over again, and one of the very first things you saw at Hogwarts was Starla Makenna trying to put the fear of Merlin onto them, wouldn't you be scared?

I WAS that small once! And at that time I actually fell down the stairs in a heap at the Head Girl's feet, causing her to drop everything and her inkwell to up-end on my head, if you remember. But I was more amused that half of my hair was purple than scared.

The then Head Girl wasn't as scary as Starla Makenna, even when she was at her angriest - and I saw her angry a lot of times.

Hush, you. No badmouthing of the lovely and wonderful Starla Makenna!! At least, you should've outgrown the terror by now, being a NEWT student unlikely to wreak havoc about the Common Room.

Nick is just - I'm not even going to attempt to explain him anymore. I know you were doing it just for a lark. Really, the whole thing has got out of hand.

Karin and Nick punched each other and I don't know how to deal with that. I am, thanks.

I'm sorry it happened, nonetheless. Do let me know if there's anything I can do, all right?

That's because she is more terrifying than Madam Jones. Who can possibly be so frigid and still be alive?

I'm really, really sorry you're not on Starla Makenna's good side. Don't let it get to you though. An exacting woman is our Starla Makenna, but really, she means well.

No she doesn't. Are you delusional?

Not at all. Perhaps she's a lady whose approbation is sparingly given, and she doesn't know you well enough to warm up to you yet?

CADOC. WE HAVE GWENOG JONES AS OUR FLYING INSTRUCTOR.

DO YOU KNOW HOW COOL THAT IS?

Oh, and I think you ought to try and even out the numbers between you and Starla Makenna. It's not fair for her to get all the love!

Ah, but Monty, Starla Makenna and I serve differenr purposes. In her they have a fearless and formidable champion of magnificent beauty and brain. In me, they have someone who's reasonably adept at locating missing gobstones and teddy bears. It works out in practice. Besides, she's so much better at being terrifying in the first place. I'd just look daft if I tried to emulate her.

I think I have a vague idea, yes. You typically reserve capital letters for very special occasions.

It's a good thing. We need more dangerous Quidditch fiends of the Welsh female variety. Carys can't shoulder that responsibility by her lonesome!
