Does anyone know anything you can take to increase the strength of your blood vessel walls? Vitamins or such?

Weird question, I know. Mine have been breaking when I exercise for a while but, if the size of resulting bruises is anything to go by, there are more or bigger vessels are breaking.

...that sounds like something you should be mentioning to your doctor, not taking vitamins for :S

I did. She told me I had 'fragile veins' and it was left at that. :-/

Mmmmm, I know that feeling. Since going veggie, I bruise like a peach on a hot day.

Do you get it from exercising?????

I'm checking my legs right now and I've got one bigger than my fist under my knee and eight small ones over my feet. :/

Well nowadays, most exercise I get is cycling, or Wing Chun.

As you can imagine, it's a little difficult to tell whether bruises come just from exercise, or from being beaten up twice a week ;)

But that doesn't sound good... Second opinion time?

Yes, I can see why that would be a problem! Weird that you've been bruising more since becoming veggie. I've been thinking about it and the only thing I can think of is the decrease in your iron intake?

Guess so...

I would definitely try mentioning that to your doctor again...worth at least checking your platelets. See if you can persuade him to do a blood test! (though you may not want to be begging for a blood test!)

Okay Jo, I'll give it a mention. Thanks for the advice. :)
