I told Karen I was going to visit her when she is in Spain. GoogleMaps was happy enough to provide me with a way to get there. Might have to take a couple of months off of work, though. Of course, GoogleMaps always does inflate times, assuming that you'll follow the speed limit.

!!! I loved google just a little bit more for this:

I wonder what the speed limit is swimming.

Yeah, I wondered the same thing, since it appears to take ~29 days to swim the atlantic. I'm guessing about 5 miles per hour (since 29 days = 696 hours).

why wouldnt you just swim directly to spain? i think the people at google have a particular affinity for france

this is what i was wondering. It seems faster to swim to portuguel or something. Maybe they can't spell that country's name either, so they just say france instead.

I had a friend that has done that. . .checked google maps and found the swim thing, not ACTUALLY swam it.
