First off, the August founders are up at pixel_trade - check them out here. I submitted Appomattox and Shiloh, both named after Civil War battles, because... well, why not, right?





Also, there's a new contest at GoS, Room with a View - I've joined and I'm totally agonizing over which room to submit. I'd appreciate any opinions!

The first one I did was a little girl's room.











I like this one, but it doesn't have a great "view," since it's on the second story and I don't really use much neighborhood deco.

Then I did the living room:













I seriously abuse those wall decals.

And then I thought, maybe I should try the laundry room. I really like the way it turned out, but for realism I didn't want to put a big window in it, so that resulted in no view at all.











So my last attempt was the dining room.

Eh. I don't know. I haven't really done much of the "garden" part, because I'll need to go on a major downloading spree for that. But what do you guys think? Which room do you like best? Are these totally non-alternative?

I'm going to wait to post until I've seen a few of the other entries because I'm not really sure what they're looking for.
